I PM Mathil about this. I had exactly the same problem and I don't think that you can call my character squishy before the Ascendancy. I asked him about choosing Deadeye or Raider and lose 1 passive point to reinvest it to 0,4% life leech below duelist.

I would not go for Slayer because you will not get any attack speed increased. It says while leeching and with Vaal Pact your leech is instant.

Hello guys I v started a LA Voltaxic Ranger (Deadeye) , I was wondering at what point it becames viable to switch Maligaro's for Facebreakers ? What crit chance / multiplier % ? With 3 power charges up I have %81 critical chance and %364 crit multiplier on LA.Level 75 so still missing 2 crit nodes i think.


And is it logical to use empower 3 + wrath 21 on +1 maligaro or facebreaker gloves ? TY for your answers.

Are you not almost always leeching mana though? The passive does not indicate leeching life specifically. I am curious about this as well.

hi, thanks for your answer, hmmm, i personally dont really like vaal pact while mapping, simply because desecrated ground would definitely put u in a very dangerous situation..

besides, i realized that the life leeching is almost like popping a flask with slayer node and 2% life leech given by the three...

besides, as regarding to what Axyridis said, i went to experiment, the result is,
yup, it's still work even if u r using vaal pact, because mana leech is leeching as well
my normal atk speed was at 3.14, when im in a combat, it went up to 3.39...
does it work? unless i missed something, or else, the answer is definitely yes!

How are you finding T15 maps and uber atziri? I feel like I'm way too squishy.. For example when I do malformation (t9), I clear everything perfectly fine but Piety can one shot me. I might end up rolling champion just so I get fortify but I'm going to miss my DPS.

What ascendancy class nodes did you take? I found that taking Ricochet over Endless Munitions (for Deadeye) provided me with a lot more dps. The free chain seems to be more valuable than the stats EM gives; as you don't get the huge dps drop the Chain gem gives. Other than that try replacing your gloves for Mali's, Shadows and Dust, Facebreakers, or good rare gloves with light dmg+ias.

Well, it seems like everyone else is having good luck with their build so far. Unlike me :(...

I'm still getting rather low DPS (both Lightning Arrow and Blast Rain are below 20k, buffed), and I've replaced a good amount of my gear already. All that's left is basically swapping out my helmet, leveling up my gems (most are Level 15+ already), and buying quality gems (which cost like 20-25c a piece). I would say that I'm on the same boat as Connerpro.

I haven't had much luck finding a Lightning Arrow +2 enchantment, so I might end up just getting a plain Rat's Nest without it. When I swap out my helmet for a Rat's Nest, I'll be bleeding Cold and Lightning resistances. I might have to pick up resistance nodes to supplement my lack of resistances, or pick up a good resistance Jewel.

At the moment, I had to sacrifice a lot of life on most of my gear because they were too expensive to upgrade with damage. After changing up my gear from what I had before, my life dipped from over 4k to only 3.4k. Not good.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? My skill tree is here, if interested (it's basically the same as Damier's, though).

I want to know everyones opinion on "Deadeye Ranger vs Asszerker Scion" with Deadeye you get free +1 chain and dont take the -reduced damage effect of +2 chain gem also geting a extra gem slot to put in w/e you want and more proj damage but with Asszerker you get easy power charge generation extra base crit, crit multi, 10% inc damage and about 5 more passive points to spend. Does Deadeye out damage asszerker that much?? I know that extra gem slot seems to go a long way but what about the loss of the extra chain you get from just using the gem? Also elemental focus gives way more dps then the crit gem to me seems that would be the beter option for the extra Deadeye gem slot what do yall think?
