Code of Conduct and Valued Posters

I like how the creator of this thread is just named Support. Poor person doesn't have a real name? xD
VP?

Fuck that, regen is far too important on these boards.

Casually casual.

Super hype. Should have been this way from the start, but better late than never.

I second the nomination of raics and Vipermagi. They're constantly giving build, gear and mechanics advice in the game play forum.
Honestly, Ill stick with Reddit, good luck though.

I'm disappointed that the Reddit link thread has been deleted, instead of using it as an opportunity for futher discussion :(

My sincere apologies guys, my post wasn't made with that intention. I fucked up :(

Hi nait2k4!

I certainly agree it would have been nice to underline this change! Unfortunately, this thread was requested to be removed by the links original poster.

I hope this helps to clarify that no fault was on your behalf, or other posters involved. Hopefully a better example will surface in the future :)

Raics,Vipermage and uhhh idk Neversink for nomination? Honestly though I don't trust this as it also pretty much labels players already as being "Holier than Thou" by changing their Posts to be fancier, etc.

Also I like how the Mods use the word "passionate" for a wholly different term now.

So, it might be worthwhile to ask - one of the major factors in that Reddit thread for people feeling like the official forums are not worthwhile is that there is no way to discuss people who are scamming etc. in the economy.

Would the current system allow for linking to external resources that discuss this, with examples and names etc. without directly placing that information into the thread itself?

E.g. if I have been having negative ingame experiences with Xx_TradeSmasher69_xX (I hope thats a fake name), and create a GD thread [PSA] Player Currently Scamming Newbies - then provide a link to a reddit thread where I have included screenshots etc., will it be removed?

It operates under a similar principle as allowing the other thread to remain open.

I can see where you are coming from here. It can be hard enough at times for an unknown voice to make legitimate comments, questions, or answers without more notable forum presences becoming the focus of attention, simply because they are the ones everyone recognizes.

If some of those were to be highlighted, it could cause legitimately helpful posts to slip through the cracks or, even worse, ignored because it isn't coming from a VP.

In the end though I think it is for the best, especially for new players. A lot of times threads can get a little long an unwieldy. Many newcomers want to be able to quickly scan threads to find the information they are looking for. They probably don't care about asides, trolling, or inside references. Even non-new players using the forums as a source of information gathering and help could benefit from this.

It will only work if these VP are held to strict conduct of behavior.
