The truth flowing gloriously from your keyboard naturally leads to impoliteness.

A guy goes at a job interview.
'Tell me your greatest weakness.'
'I only speak the truth.'
'I don't think that's a weakness.'
'I don't give a fuck what you think.'

That aside, you are generally civilized and mild-mannered. At least for my standards. Of course, my standards are... special. Anyway, for what it's worth, I would've gladly made you a VP if the forum were mine, but I also doubt GGG had quite that in mind when they were planning VPs.
You have to be realistic about these things.

I see a lot of people stating negative things about how this has been used on other forums. I really couldn't disagree more.

As a person who has strong, sometimes emotional opinions that could be presented better at times, I've had nothing but respect for the work of VIP's on forums such as Blizzard's I've most recently frequented.

I'm sorry, but the people I've seen contributing great honest support to new players, and largely objective and balanced feedback really did seem like models to me of how people could act to achieve their goals. Assuming those goals weren't largely for personal reasons, and I'll just stop there...

These guys are saints. I would never have the patience to be like that, it's just not who I am, but I have deep respect and admiration for them. Even if they're not my role models as in 'I want to be like that'.

Yeah, we shouldn't be expected to change who we are... except a line is definitely drawn somewhere. I'll save the analogy which never goes over well, but I think you know what I mean. I'm pretty set in my ways, because that's what happens when you get older - I try a reasonable amount to integrate into communities while still remaining true to myself. Sometimes I decide I'm wrong, and sometimes it's just the wrong community. That part doesn't seem so bad to me, and I don't mind the leaders of our community setting role models whom I have little doubt I would respect, even if I might never be or wish to be one of them.

I vote for you.
Don't forget to drink your milk 👌
i thought i would never say it but i love that you made this feature (to be valueable poster) optional. because many want to help without being gratified.

the right thing introduced late but it's never too late to introduce a right thing. i must say after so many regular posters left i quite enjoyed that "not so regular posters" tried to fill that role.

age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
No longer relevant.

Hi there!

A number of posts in this thread have had to be removed for breaching the Code of Conduct.

Please do not:

Personally attack or cause harm to the reputation of others

Please be mindful that while disagreement and passionate debate is totally okay, it's best not to make comments that are aggressively hostile and aimed directly at another user.

We feel a warning should be provided in this instance, though repeat offenses by the same users may result in further action. Thanks!

This is a good idea.

Now if you only could find a way to clean up the general chat ingame it would be amazing.
As someone that has setup and run forum communities in the past, I believe the valued posters idea is a bad idea that will further reduce the activity of these forums.

It sounds great on paper. The reality is that it creases classes of posters and then the feelings of inequality and superiority increase and seem to be condoned by the parent company.

Also, having a forum that is off limits to most but not all simply creates resentment and furthers the caste system.

We tried these ideas on some of the forums in the past. It always caused more issues and resulted in people leaving.
