Code of Conduct and Valued Posters

In the effort to streamline and improve the forum experience, we have revised our Code of Conduct. This change is in line with our move towards focusing on helping players, instead of trying to police them. Our overall goal is to make the Path of Exile forums the best resource for game information.

With this aim in mind, we have also added a VP (Valued Poster) program to acknowledge and highlight trusted members of the community who consistently help others.

To distinguish them from other players, they will have a different border and account name colour on the forums, as well as the “Valued Poster” forum title. Additionally they will gain access to a private area of the forum, where they can discuss issues with GGG staff. It has no effect in-game.

As they are recognised as credible sources of information, VPs have a responsibility to engage politely and constructively with the community.

We haven’t yet added anyone to this program, but we will be sending out PM invitations in the near future. Please email support@grindinggear.com if you would like to nominate someone to become a VP.

Interesting changes.

Free to play model = optional support = supporter titles = gamifying purchases = gotta catch em all = $$$$
Wow. Wondering what would be the criteria for making the ranks of valued posters.
It will convert your forum titles into decorative square badges that use the space next to your forum posts more economically so that you can show off an unlimited number of them at any one time. - GGG, 2018 (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3573673)
A shame that a lot of them already left the forums. A useful feature though.

Let the "why can't I be valued?" whining begin.
Nice update on the Code of Conduct.
