I still think map drops are fine - boost drops and good players can do 79++ all day long
What you are looking at there is how i evaluate 75 and 76 maps, you could also do similar with 77's but be a bit stricker on picking rolls.
On 76 i would only take decent rolls and vaal them all except those who were around 30 packsize with 70-100 quant rarity at least, which i may just run. Because that level of maps isn't hard to maintain, you don't need to sink all your currency to roll them and can save to optimize the best by allocating your currency to where it matters - higher maps. " [Removed by Support] The rest of us are running MINIMUM 100 Quant 30 Packsize, on 76/77 maps to have any chance of maintaining a pool, and if I am honest a lot of people are still failing then. Costs are huge, I have burned 130c alone today rolling 76/77 maps. And progressing to 78/79 base? Not a chance. Yes its RNG based which is why a very few are managing it, but a MASSIVE percentage of those that are trying are finding it impossible. Its broken, my friends are quitting, and their status updates are full of disappointment and disbelief in this system, GGG got this very very wrong. They need to admit they got it wrong, and make some changes. fast. Its ludicrous. It needs changing, and changing fast. [Removed by Support] Last edited by Jared_GGG#0000 on Aug 11, 2015, 6:56:29 PM

What you don't get is.. sustaining above 77+ is possible, and getting 75-76 is easy as hell. You don't want to waste all your currency for something easy as hell. Just vaal those 75-76 after a 0-2chaos and then get rolling. IF you roll your highest maps right, well then you will be growing crazy surplus 75 and lots of 76.

" You have some secret method of obtaining those Vaal orbs? It is easy to drop Vaal orb on 75 - 76 maps as long as you have it in your inventory or stash. Vaal orbs are currency and as such are scarce. I got around 40 - 45 from start to lvl88 where I am now. I'm pretty sure you will need to run much more than 40 - 45 lvl75/76 maps to progress further. Maps do not drop Vaal orbs any more frequently as you progress through them so you will have to trade for them. And this is the whole issues with the maps -- it is not difficult to roll them, it is very hard to acquire the currency to do so. Awakening significantly accelerated the point, at which you must start spending serious currency to roll maps. If I have unlimited currency, I'm pretty sure I will have no issue sustaining maps below 79. People are reporting that running maps is causing negative returns on investments or net-null at best in mid-tier maps. Any serious attempts to break into high-tier maps will result in large expenditure of currency that is hard to sustain. Combine high costs of running maps with built in RNG of map drops to get explosive cocktail where people can lose most of their currency without making any progress. In fact, you can lose ability to run those maps completely unless you are careful and recognize a point when you need to fall back to lower maps to rebuild your currency or map pool. This is not situation that is fine by my standards. |

"...and you're going broke. Rolling maps correctly isn't just knowing when you need to spend more currency on a map. It's also knowing when not to spend more currency on a map. Your map rolling is extravagant and wasteful; you are doing it wrong. Crackmonster is at least closer to doing it right. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

As a selffounder, all your suggestions are (very) good..
I'd be happy with these: Zana lvl6: 72-74, lvl7 73-75, lvl8 74-76 Overall i'm sustaining same level maps as before, 74's, but the real issue is that i need to chisel those..before alching was enough. I guess i need to start buying Chances with my Fuses, just to get Regrets, just to get Alchs, just to use them for chaosrecipe, just to buy chisels from Zana.. :D But other than the chisel/dailylevel, everything is good.. i have seen/done 3x79, 6x78 and ~10 77's, just because i had the chisels/luck. And like before, i have 0 problem if i never see a 82, or even a 80/81, thats the prize to pay for not to trade/soloing(not enough currency to add Zana things to a map). d:-D*

I've called it pages and pages earlier, he's a troll.

" Stop it! Crackmonster's post is very solid and there is lots of updates to the OP that make sense. I, and other people, might not agree with all of his arguments or the sentiment, with which he presented them but OP is not a troll. There are, however, people coming in to troll and incite people with different opinions. This destroys any chance to have civilized discussion about a topic that seems to be important for quite a large group of people. |

" You buy them, it's the only way. Vaals are too scarce and the recipe for them is totally retarded. At least chisel can be SF obtained by rerolling a new char to ACt4 Normal and farm vendors for hammers on lvl up. But Vaal & sac.frag? Trade chat. --- So, the title is still claiming you can play 79+ all day in 2.0. I'd like to see some fat 79+ pools posted here, come on, Ill start... :)

Title is not claiming that, it is claiming that IF drops were increased then 79+ will be easy. I did actually run into a guy saying he could sustain 80+ mostly and every some maps would drop back down into 79, though. :))
