Malachai Fight is Doable

The only thing wrong with Malachai and bosses afterwards, including Shaper, is the obvious: melees have much harder time, just the nature of static damaging skills such as mines from Malachai and unlucky placement of Vortexes on Shaper. If they literally decide to stand in those; from a melee perspective, it becomes insanely harder and infuriating to play against. As of A4, I am noticing stuff like this more and more often.

Yeah, just typical GGG lazy boss design as usual. None of the devs are playing melee at end game - so it is no surprise that is how the end game bosses are designed.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the new Pantheon bosses to see more creative one shots and mechanics targeted at melee playeres.

I would like to see a Pantheon boss with high power Righteous Fire, 10k autoattacks, Minotaur stone rain, and a smoke cloud around him. Ofc a 1 second powerup slam that hits for a couple hunnet thou would be nice too. Give him Volatile Blood as well. I would like to try that.

Yes, Malachai is doable.

Still isn't fun, though.

agreed here. malachai is basically nothing but a bunch of spam, spam, and then to spice things up MORE spam. Tons of ground effects, so there's only a couple islands of safety around.

Would be great fun if I was a range character, zipping from spot to spot to snipe at him... but as melee? you're both having to dodge his attacks AND chase him.
Just skip him and go to maps, the bosses there aren't quite so unbalanced until high tiers against melee.

Path of exile has a bad tendency to turn into a bullet hell game, without the devs realizing that melee exists.
