Frenzy charges (more damage per frenzy charge, attack and cast speed bonuses have been reduced).

will uniques like Blood Dance be adaptred to that, since they already cut a big part of trhe frenzy bonus?

A rebalance of existing unique items.

i guess _existing_ uniques will be changed and not becoming legacy?

I wouldn't worry a bit, there will always be a way for that particular itch to be scratched in PoE, at least that's what the development history has shown.

...

I dig the changes, overall.
Spell shotgunning was a relic from the time PoE was much a much simpler game, it had to go sooner or later.
Long-term approach to crit balancing is the right one, that thing must be done very carefully, a snip here, a light brush there...
Ondar wasn't much of a keystone with the way it was designed, this makes a lot of sense.
Eldritch battery was too much of a nobrainer and I was against being able to run AA as a permabuff from the start.
Frenzy charges needed a rework badly, charges should probably offer stats that are hard to obtain in other ways (what endurance charges do), not loads of the common ones.

On the other hand, that summon targetting priority might be a problem as I've lately got a hunch they are already less of a target than they used to be. Just a nagging feeling, really, but it seems enemies often prefer to take a nip of you if you're nearby, not to say I blame them.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

1.) giving up your privacy and open yourself to the public in a way streamers do is worth more than a few hundred bucks your spend on a game.
2.) it's not "streamers", it's "very successful streamers only".
3.) those guys have done more for the game's success and popularity than the average supporter.
4.) if you're just jealous, try to get a stream with a million views up and running. should be easy, shouldn't it?

I generally agree with the main vibe that's coming across in the posts. The reason why we're unhappy AT THIS MOMENT is because many of use have (nearly) completed builds that are either getting destroyed or turned on their head with the patch. Of course the speculations at this stage look grim. Even with buffs to compensate I believe over the past few months some end-game (+200ex) builds got hit hard multiple times. First the nerf to Unwavering Stance being moved further from Blood Magic, the nerf to BOTH CRIT AND ACUITIES at the same time made them so so so much weaker and now we're not getting the shotgunning effect anymore. Shotgunning imho was great because it offered versatility. You could run the same skill setup for both clearing packs and bosses which was great.

Now at best we're going to be getting significantly lower damage output AFTER having to swap gems for a boss or rare mob? Again, I hope it just looks bad on paper and in game things aren't going to be as bad.

I admit that removing GMP from my version of Shatter Chuck hits it twice: less projectiles for barrage, and no shotgunning effect. Now couple that with removal of inner force (-max res incoming), some changes to crits and attack speed on weapons and I'm terrified to look at my build in 2.0.

Above all I want to believe that GGG is doing the right thing and that whilst some of these changes are necessary for some extreme borderline cases (look away from my Shatter Chuck please :>), THERE IS A NEED FOR SUPER POWERFUL AND EQUIVALENTLY EXPENSIVE BUILDS IN THE GAME. YOU CAN'T MAKE THEM MEDIOCRE. THEY SHOULD MAKE THE GAME EASY, AFTER MANY HOURS IT TAKES TO BUILD THEM. At least that's what I enjoyed the most about PoE.

A question to GGG: What if the shotgunning changes have an overall negative impact on build diversity? Nobody knows the extent of the consequences of this change, but is there any scenario in which you'd roll these back?

Chris mentions in first post:
Multiple projectiles emitted at exactly the same time can no longer hit the same target...
Since barrage doesn't do all its hits at the same time, it shouldn't be affected by the change.

I can understand that Alpha testers get an automatic beta key for act 4 testing but streamers? Come on GGG, PoE is not pay-to-win so it should also not be advertise for GGG and you get preferential treatment. That is a new low for GGG since they changed how newly purchased stash tabs get activated. Both are bad. For shame GGG... for shame!!!
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Plus the big one everyone is missing. More eyes to report bugs.
GGG, like most people here, i'm behind all the buffs and nerfs but question your nerf to Eldritch Battery.

Limiting our available mana pool and mana regen make it rather difficult to run most 6 link caster setups. Unless the mana cost for these skills are reduced dramatically, i see this as a poor balance for what was at least mildly overpowered Cloak of Defiance/Arctic Armour combo. I know most hardcore players were either Cloak or Coil players for well over a year now.

I hope it all turns out well, and casters, crit harbingers and dagger builds do get some dps nerf, but man... i am just unsure.

When EB first came out i was like "finally, now i can not worry about mana!".

Here's to hope!

And let's hope they will buff it greatly, because current version is too weak to spare socket to run it only occasionally.

BTW Considering quality bonus, I think that devs intended AA to be run permanently... But again, if AA is to be unsustainable and though as escape tool, quality bonus should also be greatly buffed to at least 1-1,5% MS per 1% quality. And cast time should be reduced.
Anticipation slowly dissipates...

PoE would have never been successfull without the streamers.
For what it's worth I think most of the changes will be healthy and were needed - EB+MoM+AA was too much of a no brainer for casters (AA in its very concept is OP, flat damage reduction ftw), burn prolif especially in groups OP (as it was based on the sp values), Ondars was OP, especially for rangers (the change sounds about right, still worth getting but reflect will need to be managed better), and shotgunning had to go, although I'm curious to see how the spells/skills that most benefitted from it will be buffed and whether they won't become obsolete as a result. What I do think this means is that players will be forced to consider their defenses more, and probably have to have a skill for mobs and another for single target (which makes sense).
They probably wont be answered (or may have already been asked) but I have a few doubts:

- Does tornado shot still 'shotgun'?
- Will LMP/GMP be reworked as they would be too penalising, especially gmp?

I understand that GGG want to make the 'standard' game more challenging (and I can understand that's where most players are), but hc seems like its going to be HARDCOREEEEEE! (death of CWDT and above, crit changes etc). I'm not sure if I'm motivated or worried but given how much I enjoyed Invasion even in the first weeks its probably the former :D

(as for those complaining their builds are losing dps and even want compensation consider that your dps was probably excessive for a reason and a game needs to stay fresh to survive. Embrace the changes!)
