What happens when Closed Beta starts tomorrow?

In addition, giving access to specific popular streamers is a benefit to those who don't get beta access (potentially yourself), because you can watch the streamers play the beta instead of being shut out completely. So they (unfairly, by your logic) give these streamers access to the beta, in part to benefit the whole of their player base.

Who the hell wants to watch somebody play the beta?? I agree that giving people who donate special privileges isn't right, but neither is giving those who stream either. It should be fair to everyone in that everybody gets access the same way, by the "lottery" system that is explained at the beginning of the post.
I really like automatic defenses from AA / MOM / CWDT / auras / gear. The alternative would be to devote one or more of the few available action keys / mouse buttons to short term defensive buffs and to keep pressing them over and over and over. But, with all the nerfs to automatic defenses, running around with one or more short term warcries or other defensive buffs might be needed to keep survivability at an acceptable level. If that's the case, then 2.0 may disappoint quite a few players, and not just me.

If over-max resistances will be toned down, then hopefully mob elemental damage will also be toned down by quite a bit.
Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?
cant wait for dem changes

For what it's worth I think most of the changes will be healthy and were needed - EB+MoM+AA was too much of a no brainer for casters (AA in its very concept is OP, flat damage reduction ftw), burn prolif especially in groups OP (as it was based on the sp values), Ondars was OP, especially for rangers (the change sounds about right, still worth getting but reflect will need to be managed better), and shotgunning had to go, although I'm curious to see how the spells/skills that most benefitted from it will be buffed and whether they won't become obsolete as a result. What I do think this means is that players will be forced to consider their defenses more, and probably have to have a skill for mobs and another for single target (which makes sense).
They probably wont be answered (or may have already been asked) but I have a few doubts:

- Does tornado shot still 'shotgun'?
- Will LMP/GMP be reworked as they would be too penalising, especially gmp?

I understand that GGG want to make the 'standard' game more challenging (and I can understand that's where most players are), but hc seems like its going to be HARDCOREEEEEE! (death of CWDT and above, crit changes etc). I'm not sure if I'm motivated or worried but given how much I enjoyed Invasion even in the first weeks its probably the former :D

(as for those complaining their builds are losing dps and even want compensation consider that your dps was probably excessive for a reason and a game needs to stay fresh to survive. Embrace the changes!)

1. Can you do LL with eb-mom-aa? Can you have over 10000 life? CoD is broken but shavs is ok?
2. How will caster templar compete with witch given that all the goodies are now so far away?
3. Tornado dps is ok?
What we have seen so is not the whole picture BUT it seems to limit your choices not create more. How about having 2 key stones the old one and a new one?
cannot wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All projectiles now behave like arrows. Multiple projectiles emitted at exactly the same time can no longer hit the same target. Their area of effect damage can still overlap, dealing damage to the same target multiple times.

Just when i sold ranger and got a FP gear n everything, fuck this

I think alot of the nerfs wont really do anything most of the builds that are getting direct nerfs are already overkilling everything on the screen you have way more damage than needed so even with nerf should work just fine.
I really hope "Scarier Enemies" also means "Better Rewards".
What do you mean projectiles can only hit a character once, but the AoEs can damage them multiple times? That makes little to no sense. How does this work with incinerate, or FP? Tornado shot isn't even close to viable without greater multiple projectiles.

Incinerate and freezing pulse doesn't have an AoE part, so they won't be able to hit a target multiple times. A skill like fireball have an AoE part, that part will be able to all targets. RIP incinerate and FP.
