[0.10.3b] What's cooler than being cool? Ice Cold Templar
I had started this build and worked up to A1 cruel but ran into some survivability issues and bounced around to a couple other builds I was interested in. But ... decided to get back at it since I do enjoy the playstyle.
Granted, I focused almost exclusively on DPS paths and my gear sucks but I am having some problems getting popped quickly. So ... I used a few respecs and am heading towards some of the life/def nodes to shore that up but in the interim I decided to add a spell totem to frost pulse and it seems to be working great. I can drop it on a big group and they'll focus on it while I curse and ice spear as necessary. DPS is great so it generally melts white packs and with ice spear I can kill anything else pretty fast. Once I get some defensive nodes I'm sure I'll swap back but for anyone else having some issues it might be a good alternative. |

Watching this thread since I've been looking for a cast build to try later on.

this build is a little weak on survivability so i will pick up some more life and armor nodes, but still nice template
by the way i think i will stick to a shield Last edited by Latscho#3783 on Feb 25, 2013, 7:02:26 PM

" Thats what I did rerolled into hp + eldritch battery version. I am taking all close hp nodes. Takes longer to kill stuff but I am not dying. IGN: Kebehsenuf

" Weak on survivability? Not. Get better items? But if you want more, sacrifice DPS for ES nodes in the center. Weak early game? I posted a page or two back about that. Use the 18 free respec points, that's all there is to beating early game. Personally at lvl50 I had 1k HP, 2k ES and maxed out resistances, and still had plenty of damage. It all depends on your items and which points you focus on first. Life is tough... but it is tougher if you're stupid.

" You need a granite flask for A1 cruel or you will constantly get stunned by physical skeleton archers. Last edited by Lorddias#0188 on Feb 26, 2013, 10:38:36 PM

" I'm level 50 now and my gear puts me well short of that (especially ES). I did respec into some ES/life nodes and it's definitely helped but still farming for gear in A2 as opposed to progressing. Unrelated to build question ... How does one find better gear? I can either play the game or sit around town and hover over every item to see what it is and whether it will improve upon current gear. Not to mention having to do the same (sit around town) and spam WTS items. As much as I don't want to go the D3 route ... I still think they need a better selling/buying mechanism. |

Hi!
Im using this build atm,and i'm really enjoying it. I have a question about the critical strike nodes though. It seems some are Critical strike chance, and some are Critical strike chance for Spells. Does it matte that these are different? And is it correct that the "Critical strike chance for spells" doesnt get added to the critical strike chance in the Character Menu? Since the percentage didn't go up when i skilled the critical strike for spell nodes at the witch tree. Thanks in advance for any answers! If I don't reply to a bid, or won a bid, contact me in game, or send me a PM!

Lolololol died at 52 :( I was cruising through the content with 1600hp and 1k ES. But the problem was I had 200 armour and that is waaay to low if you are going solo. I got cought by a bear trap in the start of act 3 and he chain trapped me and EK'd me to death. It is a viable build but you need to pay attention to you gear. I'm always playing with my ranger friend, but the ONE time I decided to try solo I got raped the 4th time I went through start of act 3.
