Cheap, Tanky, DPSy: Summon Raging Spirit [not updated for 1.3+]

Any idea if I could make this into a lowlife mfer with srs and something like 5l lorica?

How are you getting the dex to run haste/vaal haste? You only have 50 dex on your gear and didn't take any in the tree.

I'm not entirely sure if you are referring to me, but if so you seem to misunderstand my point. I didn't follow any guide with my 'hybrid' SRS / Zombie summoner. I started using Zombies and Spetres aswell as SRS early on and although I really enjoyed the hybrid gameplay I felt that it was overall weaker then a full SRS summoner.

I then looked through the forum threads and read into this specific guide. I noticed that some people were pretty interested in more information about playing a hybrid summoner so I decided to share my experience.

I'm overall quite pleased with my transition to a full SRS summoner. My only intention was to point out some troubles and problems one could have in that situation.

I use Lightning Coil for one simple reason: I think it's an awesome endgame armor and I really want to make it work.

What did you use for Spectres? The bubble boys are quite sturdy. I never got to high-level maps with my old summoner but zombies did often but my spectres survived pretty well.

Anyway might use zombies/spectres until late end-game and then respec.

I did use Undying Evangelists and I must say that they did pretty good even in level 74 maps. Honestly, my Zombies did survive most of the maps aswell and I just had to recast one every now and then. Both Zombies and Spectres didn't stand a chance against 74 map bosses. And that was because I just havn't had enough damage output (due to a lack of sockets and quite alot of minion life nodes on the tree). If I would have been able to kill the map boss faster all my miions would most certainly live.
Hey there! Once again. Now my tree looks like this:

My question is. How to survive from leaping and charging scum? Sometimes they run in suprisingly and hurt painfully, you know. The spirits don't attract any fiends so I've to use the decoy totems to which they sink, but the totems haven't enough life so that I could catch a moment to summon the spritis. The arctic armour delivers a great protection, but not against them. The affair gets worse when some of them are rare monsters and have acceleration mods or auras.

You have quite a few empty sockets to play with so I'd suggest a standard CWDT - EC - IC - ID setup. It stops leaping and charging monsters dead in their tracks. The first hit will proc the CWDT setup and now you have a couple seconds of physical invulnerability to use to pot, move, etc.

Summon skeletons + spell totem + minion speed is also pretty helpful for pumping out some meat shields. You can drop the minion speed and replace it with something else, but I prefer speed. It helps the skeletons move along at a reasonable pace and they're actually pretty fast when topped off with flesh offering. I can usually bring a pack of skeletons along to a few groups of mobs before I need to drop a new spell totem.

Hi,

you really need to improve the belt and the helmet, you can do self found pretty easy however.
Try to swap increased duration with multistrike(really worth 3c), according to the op and my experience is better.
The combo with immortal call is really good for this build try it.
Move a lot, use haste use flask to run in danger situation and before groups of enemy use granite flask, mantain always the distance, before a combact cast specters, arc+totem far as you can(between you and enemies usually you can't see) then cast srs.

Again, For leaping and charging scum: combo with immortal and flask(quicksilver&granite)

I'd love if someone could split up the talents and how to level. Like 1-20, 21-40, 41-60, 61-80 etc. I'm not sure where to go from where I am. Either I go for the second increased duration node, or I go towards the reduced mana node next to the CI one. My tree looks like this atm:
