1st - go to eldritch. then written in blood, then get duration nodes through foresight its like 30sh(u also get get that dex and str nodes pretty much needed for gear), then you should have +1 helm, and can level with echoed\multi\splash srs, but fc\cnaoe\burn flamestrike is more effective till mid 50

Cloak of Defiance? No it won't help at all. It will just give you trouble by making you unable to cast whenever you get hit.

ye, i though same. i just ran a wrong direction(always run from portal shit in cleared way) and got insta savage blue rhoa'd on 76 map, so it was more an accident than build failure
considered lc, but 700es and 70+ hp chest gives more ehp, so will just build the same character, best playing experience on beyond so far.
i wish i could affor this one, but i have only like 20 ex left after rip

I'd also add that a Chober Chaber makes a great leveling item for SRS and is dirt cheap. +1 to minion and melee gems is pure win until you need to get serious with a 5L/6L.

hi guys, im interessted to try a SRS but i dont understand why most people play SRS energy shield based or hybrid instead of playing life based. I checked out a couple SRS guides.... but i dont understand it. Would be nice if someone could explain it to me.

Simple; for def. With only life you will be have 5k life top(requires great gear, mana regeneration res, dex, str, life) . But in hybrid version, you can have 6 k
Total easily. And you can use vaal discipline in hard situation. Also life regen is terrible with this build.

Life tops out at 6.5k with amazing gear, and belly of the beast.

Es/Life hybrid tops out at 10k+vdisc with amazing gear. It's better to have 10k EHP when fighting uber atziri's flameblasts.
