Cheap, Tanky, DPSy: Summon Raging Spirit [not updated for 1.3+]
" Yeah if you're using flammability in addition to EW added fire is better. The reason I made a DPS calc is so people can figure out the best setup for their gear/tree/skills. " Ah thanks. :) I would do mana reg if you can't do cast speed. Also what do you need a 6L chest for? All my builds /view-thread/1430399

Hey guys, any idea how this build would look with CI?
I got lvl 77 witch with es gear so I wonder if I could make it work? Cheers |

This is the CI tree we came up with on pages 15-20. I wouldn't recommend it though. If you have ES gear just go life/ES hybrid.

" That's what I thought, thanks. Btw sorry that you had to leave the game but studies are for sure the most important thing, best of luck and hope to see you around nonetheless :) |

Hey Matrix,
Havent given up on the 3x curses since being able to get max resist in merciless (not counting chaos dmg, will be happy to just get that to zero), and so far lowest my mp regin is 222 and highest I can get is 3xx, so I adjust as needed while lvling. Now lv66 with this gear: 1200 unreserved hp and 2300 ES
Spoiler
Have a few questions: 1)Can anyone tell me why with this amulet I get 222 mana/sec but with I get 213 m/s? Choker has like 17% more mana regin a sec then Foible, why am I getting less. o_O 2)Also, not sure if I'm using your dps calculator right but it says when swapping out minion dmg, added fire, or increase duration that increase duration gives more dps out of the three? o_O 3)Does my SRS gain any of the increased fire dmg from my Searing Touch? 4)And does the SRS being able to ignite enemies due to flammability get increase burn dmg from Searing Tourch 70% increased to burning dmg? " 1) You get 1.75% of your max mana as base mana regen. This is multiplied by % mana regen from gear/tree. 2) The DPS calculator computes peak DPS. Increased duration is actually optimal for max peak DPS since you will have more spirits out. However it has slower ramp up, check the table at the bottom of the DPS calculator to get an idea of the difference in ramp up. 3) Only the %increased fire from quality on added fire affects spirits. %fire/%spell/%burning from gear/tree doesn't affect them. I've made it to level 88 so far with this build and I am having a lot of fun. I am currently still using the cwdt combo an running haste and hatred and clarity on mana. I am considering swapping it out for BM clarity and adding discipline and vaal discipline. Do you think it is better? I have never used vaal discipline and immortal call has saved my life countless times. I read you say that it is not necessary but you must use it for some reason, is it better?

Question about the damage calculation in spreadsheet. Where did you get this value "Base Average Damage (L21 SRS gem) = 1354"? Because if we believe the data from GGG, this number is less than half (I will remind - the average damage is min + max and divided by 2)

" I can live without Vaal Discipline, but regular Discipline adds a *very* large amount of ES (with all the aura buffs, Inner Force and %ES modifiers applied to it). I now have close to 3000 ES (with mediocre gear) added to my 3000 life, allowing me to ditch CWDT. I did add more defense than the original build: - an unsupported level 20 Raise zombie gem works wonders (at least up to 75 maps) in providing 5 extra targets, which are fairly tanky, but far from immortal - I'm thinking about relinking my chest to 3-3 instead of 4-2 and run: - Spell Totem-Arc-Blind - Increased Duration - Flesh Offering - Vaal Haste hoping the Blind will provide some more defense - I'm not taking the curse nodes, but more life/ES nodes instead: by the time I cast totem, summon skulls, double curse, Flesh offering and Vaal haste almost everything is dead I can imagine when doing Atziri, I would: - bring a 2nd Alpha (rolled BBGR) so I can put Hatred in (and lose Generosity) - bring a 2nd pair of boots (rolled RRRR) to run CWDT-IC-ID-EC item for the trio-bosses to counter their extreme physical damage. And maybe I will switch over to that configuration permanently at level 93 or so, where every death is a major disaster. " Your question is unclear. I think vaal disc is better than cwdt-ec-ic-dur once you switch to life/es hybrid. While you are playing with eldritch battery, the cwdt-ec-ic-dur setup is nice to have. " The 1354 number comes from taking the average damage of L28 spirit in 1.1.5 and multiplying it by 0.8 to account for the 20% nerf in 1.2. We don't know exact 1.2 numbers yet. " If you look at the mechanics of blind, specifically the low probability to proc per any given hit, it's not that reliable with arc. It's ideal with something like GMP+Ball Lightning. IMO It's not worth 1-2 gem slots when other options are a second curse or vaal discipline. Your point about the curse nodes is valid. I find double curse is mainly useful for rares and bosses. I actually did something like that for atziri (check the 1.1.5 video in the FAQ section). However once you get the mechanics of the trio fight down, you will be more than fine without IC once you reach 7k+ HP+ES. The only thing I would recommend is pre-charging 3 vaal haste gems and using them for the split phase at atziri. All my builds /view-thread/1430399
