Cheap, Tanky, DPSy: Summon Raging Spirit [not updated for 1.3+]

Beregondz, Thanks I just re-read the original post, it seems I missed this bit of information. Thanks for clarifying for me though.
So, if myself and a friend was going to group together and he was wanting to make an Arc build, then this might not be the best choice to go as I will be making everything lightning resistant with EE?

Exactly.
Is there any way I can improve dps other than getting a 6L or +3 gems staff?

Get flesh offering and vaal haste.
alright, so after a good sleep i woke up fresh and thought of something

http://tinyurl.com/pcaveew

Initial skill tree: http://tinyurl.com/onturpc

What is new? I sacrificed Mental Rapidity ( 12% cast speed total ) + Nimbleness ( 12% Cast speed total ) to go into the templar tree to get Prestidigitation and Discipline and Training wich is a big buff for our HP pool. In the path we also get 8% more mana so i took out 8% mana node near Deep Thoughts to get 1 point back.

I also took your advice and went for the other 45% Skill buff duration so no we have 90%

Doing the above we loose the following from our stats:

24% cast speed
8% mana

Doing the above we get the following stats:

8% mana
6% cast speed
20% mana regenaration
7% reduced mana skills
15% increased life
+30 maximum HP

The final stats gain with the plus and minus from the initial tree:

-18% cast speed
+20% mana regeneration
+7% reduced mana skills
+15% increased life
+30 maximum hp

That takes us to 110 skill points used.

Alright so now we sit on:

114 Strength
74 Dexterity
352 Intelligence
195% mana regenaration
120% maximum mana
12% cast speed
7% reduced mana cost of skills.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok so we still have some dexterity problems. I think i got that figured that out by going into the shadow skill tree wich also gives us a GREAT boost to mana

By using 5 skill tree points we get an additional:

10 strength
30 dexterity
6% cast speed
26% increased mana
+10 to maximum mana

http://tinyurl.com/ld587aa

personally i don't think that is really a must but it can be taken in consideration. Maybe its much more efficient to just get a damn +30 dexterity node or +dexterity gear and go for +cast speed on skill tree ( we have 24$ cast speed waitting for us for 6 points ). In the end its all about what we feel we need hp/mana/cast speed they are all exactly near our path.

What do you guys think?

Alex the most efficient cast speed nodes are in the witch starting tree, 4 points for 18% compared to 3 points for 12% in nimbleness or mental rapidity.

I think you're also going to be struggling with your life total unless you plan on going hybrid life/ES, in which case you should be taking the very efficient life/ES nodes near the shadow tree.

Why? last league i had 2.4k hp and i was able to clear all maps till 76 ( 77+78 ) i don't usually do them.
This league at level 90 we get if we put 70 hp/main items:

90x12=1080 maximum hp
50 maximum hp from tree
70 maximum hp from boots
70 maximum hp from gloves
70 maximum hp from chest
70 maximum hp from helm
40 maximum hp from oak

Total: 1450 total hp
Total multiplier from tree: 133% ( at 110 points used )

I dont see the need to go into the Templar area as the gains (in my opinion) arent that great for the points invested. Taking them out i get this tree instead with the same number of points invested you can have:

+5 Life on Kill
+29% Life
+30 St
+8% Fire Res, +1 Max Res

vs

-40 Int
+7% Cost of skills
-30 Max Life
-20% Mana Regen

You lose a little Mana Regen, a little Int, for a ton of Life.

Can this item be a good choice for the build? Nice mana boost,
additional skill duration, +1 to gems we will be using.
It could be ok i think. It cant compare to +3 staff, or even maybe to +2,
but please share your opinions.
