On the plus side, it looks like the passive tree's changing such that I can convert my Low-life Arc witch into a Low-life Solaris Lorica build that has almost 8k ES and nearly 30K self-cast Ice Spear DPS(Well 30k on Ice Spear's second stage, much less on the first stage due to missing out on like half of my crit chance), which isn't half bad for a build that cost 5ex, certainly a better investment than a cruddy 200dps bow for the same price. So at least I'll have a good build to level the Masters up with while waiting to try out some Puncture fun. Infractem 1.2 should tide any crit build over in Merci and early maps until they can buy or craft a sufficient Harb. I've been doing some more theorycrafting and am stuck because I am not sure what exactly the puncture dot double dips on. I know it double dips some bonuses but I'm not sure which ones. Can pretty much cap your crit on a good Harb or Windripper with nothing but passives and power charges if you liked, and still have enough points left over to not die. Really opens up the potential for a Drillneck based CoC build, since you can easily cap both your crit chance and pierce chance, and the pierce damage bonus from Drillneck double dips, boosting both the spell damage and bow damage. Certainly a lot of potential there thanks to those new generalized nodes. I'm sure there's plenty of fun to be had with them. If you don't like the no leeching or your build needs can't be played without it - go buy a 230 DPS Harb instead. It will just be a cheap end game starter option.
