Spell block is very meh, no-one low-life went spell block because we prefer to hit 99% fire and lightning which is far more powerful. If you have 65% spell block and a spell hits you, you're dead. End of. 75% block is nice vs. Spears but there are other mechanics e.g. Ondar's that require only 6 points vs. block which is like a passive tree mission. -Attacks? Ones that do shittons of damage. -From what Loin did, 35k spectral was enough. I'd hazard a guess that you could even go down to 25k Spectral. Generally, spectral tooltip is like 1/2-1/3 of melee so maybe 75k melee? Easily achieveable with a crit build. -Yes you can if you have the DPS to back it up - but there is no reason to. Why sit around and masturbate when you can just kill the adds with a splash ability and reduce the time of the fight? These were examples of specifics. I'm also not saying most of these are a must for melee but that's just how melee is. As for Righteous Arc, if you're talking about Fox_Tactics I believe he was using Arctic Armour so even with 4k base HP it's basically like having 7k+ life from all that mitigation with AA. Nah, it's like having 200 more life when it comes down to spear hits and and flameblasts due to the mitigation. The reason why his 4K was effective because he was Empowering Purity of Fire and Lightning and using Coil stacked on AA with huge Lightning Res to mitigate all 3 damage types. His totem also took a huge brunt of the damage. Of course it needs some modifications for Uber - Lightning Coil for e.g. perhaps running EB/MoM/AA with a 400 ES shield and helm with max life as well. Life-based 2H Cycloner is awesome and I love what Tommie has done but equip a dagger and cyclone and we can quadruple your DPS :) Thanks man, and as they said yes I am not using like 10auras which proves uber it doable without being lowlife or such :) You will get a higher tooltip with a dagger but it will not be closed to be as effective. Just finished my full clear of Alluring Abyss in the melee spec with no snapshot. It's messy and the clear time is slow (next time will be better) but I succeeded and that's what counts imo for the first try. Not going to lie it was bloody hard - I used all 6 portals, every one of my deaths was entirely my fault. There is a TON of desync when you're melee and having to be careful with snakes trying to rampage through doorways. That said, all the deaths were entirely my fault (player error) and I can definitely do the run deathless with a little bit of practice playing melee. The clear time is slow because I'm bad (lol), but also because there's just no way melee matches our sub 10 minute ST clear time, ever. It just takes longer to hit every damn minion. PSA: There is some cursing when i die like an idiot, so if you're under the age of 5, well you should be in bed :O Edit: Noting - my gear can be seen as always at thread 938722.
