Uber Atziri as a Melee

I think the solution is simple. Remove shavs from the next 4 month league. People can have their OP builds all they want in standard but in the main leagues they won't exist.

Lorica can still be used for the same build though.

-25 ex, probably not. Think about it, for a 25 ex budget you get out 60 ex gloves? Hmmm... Lowest budget I've seen is Kaoms RF - around 45 ex.
-75/65 block is really not that good. Spell block is very meh, no-one low-life went spell block because we prefer to hit 99% fire and lightning which is far more powerful. If you have 65% spell block and a spell hits you, you're dead. End of. 75% block is nice vs. Spears but there are other mechanics e.g. Ondar's that require only 6 points vs. block which is like a passive tree mission.
-Attacks? Ones that do shittons of damage.
-From what Loin did, 35k spectral was enough. I'd hazard a guess that you could even go down to 25k Spectral. Generally, spectral tooltip is like 1/2-1/3 of melee so maybe 75k melee? Easily achieveable with a crit build.
-Yes you can if you have the DPS to back it up - but there is no reason to. Why sit around and masturbate when you can just kill the adds with a splash ability and reduce the time of the fight?

I'm personally still waiting for a vid of a life based, melee build with <= 3 auras doing Queen Atziri (solo, from start of the fight to the end to prove it).

The RF you posted is after fight is 1/2 the way over. No proof if they had help, etc.

I got asked what my Double Strike dps was and didn't know. (so I tested)

in the setup I used in the vid, my melee splash was 350k, and the single target with WED gem in was just under 600k.


I tested it in tryhard mode using my RF setup (there's no real downside when you're 99% fire res anyways except having to press more buttons) and got






I can do that with no snapshot needed. That's also using a level 18 Double Strike gem atm. need dat lvl21.




I've been practising trio in Apex on 3man hp to get ready for trying the full clear no snapshot melee run - gonna man up and try it in a little bit. Wish me luck!

It's actually even better. Tommie is Blood Magic so he has ZERO auras. Holy shit.

After fight is 1/2 over means nothing, you see a split phase and about 10 minutes of him running around. That's all Atziri is - can you survive split phase, can you survive adds, can you DPS the normal form?

With snapshotting, you can go Purity of Fire - Purity of Light - Grace - Hatred - Discipline - Anger - Wrath - Haste.

Drop Haste, Drop Hatred. Less DPS but who cares?
