" Since you're already using Pyre, do a small test, go into a lower level zone, like fellshrine or ledge for example where loss in resistances would not be a huge deal and switch purity of elements with elemental prolif and use herald of ash instead of hatred. Hi, reporting in. I switched the Cleave from BM to mana a few moments ago and I really dig it. The dps boost is sweet. I use the two skill setups already mentioned a few posts ago: Cleave+Multi+Added fire+Concentrated effect gives around 38k single target dps. For clearing packs I swap Conc. Effect for Increased AoE.
I'm posting this for those who wondered if 1% mana leech is enough, it is as long as you don't swing blindly into nothing. However, I do plan crafting additional mana leech on one of my rings as soon as I level Elreon. |

Has anyone tried Molten Strike + WED + Added Fire Dmg + Multistrike gem set up on BoR? I was leveling Cleave (didn't wanna change 4 red colors on BoR because of another build im using with it) and got Molten Strike gem drop so out of curiosity I tried it out and got it to lvl 16 vs lvl 17 cleave and dmg was 2k more for Molten Strike. With Hatred im getting 22k+ dmg out of lvl 16 gem.
Some maps I had to blow up corpses and used Infernal Blow to do it. I removed multistrike and was literary blowing up all mobs in 1 or 2 hits. Any thought about this gem for this build? |

How do you deal with rogue exile Minara Anemina? especially when in a party , hard to rush her down ,and her exploding minions hurts.

Update.
Now lvl 72, managed to cap resists with my gear without having to use purity of elements. Now running on hatred + herald of ash. Doing 42k DPS with cleave with full dps supports. Ogrec - will try that, sounds interesting, though I have second thoughts about it. Trading dps for dots is cool, but that dot should be supported by many many fire dmg nodes, meaning we loose on defences/even more dps. But will try it out how it works :) Edit: Gear atm:

only problem when using molten strike is that less then 1/3 of actual tooltip is phys damage (assuming you're using hatred). that means you need a lot of life leech to hit leech rate cap and that's why dual strike and cleave have advantage over molten strike in terms of survivability. other then that, its a good skill and if you're 2-shooting stuff anyway, lower leech probably won't be an issue for you. kita731 make sure you cap your fire res, if its not capped already. combination of high life pool, high leech and purity of fire is usually enough on it's on, if you're not using that aura and are undergeared/underleveled, you can always use ruby flasks to increase maximum fire resistance temporarily. 1 flask gives you 2x5 sec of increased fire res so hopefully that's enough to take her down. Today I attempted Atziri for the first time ever and, despite needing all six portals, achieved victory. Was lvl 86 and using the Acrobatics/manaless version of the build, though I opted for Cleave+Conc.Effect in the BoR. Ran PoF+PoL alongside Hatred in the hopes that overcapping resists would prevent one-shotting through 4.9k health, though it still happened a few times. The deaths were definitely failures of dodging on my part though, and I expect future runs will be smoother. To anyone else warily eyeing BoR prices on Rampage as I was a week ago: hang in there; the payoff is real. This build goes the distance!

Yay! Got my 1st Atziri kill.
I didn't manually cast EC or IC, so I needed up dying once in the 2nd fight. I was also only running HoA and Hatred, so, Atziri one-shot me twice, both times by the storm calls. I could have just avoided this by leaping out, but opted to just dps more. One topaz and one ruby might not have been enough either. If I was to do this again, I would probably run both a jade and granite flask for the 2nd fight, and still just have CwDT triggered EC and IC. For Atziri, I would probably opt to dodge more storm calls and flameblasts, and carry 2 topaz flasks. Either way, I never intended to farm her, since the profit margins are not as good as they used to be, but at least I know I can, if need be. |
