Wohoo - seriously increasing my chances.
If I'm reading this correctly, however, my chances are quite small. There are around 134 thousand accounts looking for approximately 48 keys per day. Did I miss something? |

"Right now, the timer is at 25min. It's around 58 invites per day. We have to take the current 137,000 accounts and subtract the (unknown) amount of beta members to figure the chances of being selected each day. I believe the number of beta accounts to be around 8,000-10,000, which would make your chances of being selected 1/127,000 per interval, 58 times a day. Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.

137,000 accounts and maximum online players on server was 140 today, i wonder where are the rest of 136.860 accounts. They should let everyone to test the beta since in game are not more than 50 - 200 online per day.

"They will let everyone in, once they believe they're ready for it. That's what open beta is for. They don't want 100,000+ people playing right now, because they wouldn't be able to properly handle the feedback. "You can't cite one instance of a player count and call it the player count for an entire day. People play at different times of the day. If we even assume that each person plays a full 12 hours every day, then there are at least twice the numbers you're using. More realistically, there are probably 400-500 different accounts that play a few hours each on any given day. Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.

GGG should have a second timer, without telling anyone, letting in their most interested fans - measured by forum posts, site visits or whatever. No point making their really passionate fans wait with the rest of us.
