" Your planned build is lacking HP, and the second one is a bit less point efficient for an ED mara. (Yes, I've seen your other thread about this exact question.) Unwavering Stance is really good in that it prevents your character from getting chain stunned to death. And in this case, since you are not building full tank, you are more prone to having that happen in case mobs manage to get through the barrage of arrows. Life is tough... but it is tougher if you're stupid.

Thank you very much Venator for your reply.
I have some question about my misstakes on my second ED Mara build. If I may, I would like to contact you tomorrow for a further assessment of you :) . |

This looks really similar to the kripparian bow guides good work =)
anyways i wanted to run TEMPLAR bow for optimum DPS (since i play softcore and don't need survivability) However, i can't seem to find an updated templar bow shocker guide.... So OP, if you have time please link me to a templar version of this guide.... im vividly searching, and nothing with 0.10.1 for bow templars have shown up yet =S this is a great build and really want to use it on TEMPLARS for softcore! So please let me know if there is a guide somewhere that you would recommend since you seem to know it all for bow builds =) Thanks |

" Well, simply pick one of the builds you like here, they all dip into the templar starting tree, and modify it so it goes through the 40% mana regen node, into element, AoE, AoE, Amplify, 10 INT, and you are in the HP ring, from there on it's smooth sailing, pretty much exactly the same as for marauder. On the other hand, if you really want higher DPS, you might want to check out some Ranger bowmen guides; or Shadow for that matter, as they have access to a lot of Projectile Damage nodes and attack speed nodes; as well as the smaller weapon elemental damage ring. You may also build it upon the Shocker template, but if you go for a Ranger/Shadow and orient it around DPS, you would be better off with a different build. So much from me this time! Life is tough... but it is tougher if you're stupid.

" I wanted to quote this separately. Neither Kripp nor me ripped anyone off here; it is simply a matter of the fact that there is a limited amount of ways to reach high efficiency for a specific character. If you put 10 independent players to theorycraft a certain build, and gave them some general requirements (such as, main skills and just the idea of the character), they would finally end up with 10 very similar builds, nearly mirrored. Just wanted to put that in here; and I certainly have to add that I can in no way compare to Kripp - his knowledge about PoE is far, far more extensive than mine. Life is tough... but it is tougher if you're stupid.

Haven't seen the new passive tree yet, but judging by the path notes, duelist got a big boost. LOTS more attack speed than it currently had (some of its 4% nodes went up to 6%, and its plain +30 dex node became an accelerate clone with +12%), so I think that gives it an edge over ranger.
Sadly it sounds like Berserking may have moved closer farther from BM and closer to Duelist, but not sure how. Might end up making my descision between the 2 builds I was looking at easier though. If the one that cuts up the middle loses berserk it would be huge, while the one that gets IR probably won't be affected that much. Does mean that if the one that cuts up to the middle does still work though, it might cut down to duelist instead of ranger/shadow starting cluster, as it was already comparable for projectile damage (duelist start+WED nodes by IR), but was losing in attack speed.... I hope the online passive tree updates so I can play with it over lunch [edit] also kinda mad about the change to the cruel bandits. Originally I went SP over 4% IAS because I figured worst case was I spent the SP on a 3% IAS node and lost 1%, no big deal, but at 6%, I would have gone IAS lol. I might end up doing a third leveling after I see the new tree after all lol. Last edited by ShadowyDream#4629 on Mar 6, 2013, 10:02:57 AM

" This is essentially what I came to ask. It seems worth it to puck up IAS over the point now. What does everyone else think? IGN: dwreckedarc

" "The quest reward for the Kraityn quest on Cruel difficulty has been changed from 4% to 6% increased attack speed." wow.. got lucky that i picked the +IAS. "A set of vendor recipes related to handing in complete sets of rare gear have been changed. The rewards are now based on the item levels of the gear and can range from one Orb of Chance to three Regal Orbs under certain conditions." um.. i have a set of unidentified rares. just missing 1 ring, which i can get from a quest. redeem for 2 chaos now? or wait?
