[0.10.4b] Bow Marauder (The Shocker (tm)) [**TO BE UPDATED SOON 1.0.0**]

"
If your skill tooltip says it deals 50 Physical, 300 Lightning, 200 Fire and 150 Ice damage, the Iron Grip keystone will only buff the 50 Physical. So considering the amount of points you pay to get there, it is not worth it at all! There are other specific builds which utilize Iron Grip much better.

iron grip increases the dmg you do before the conversion , i just wasted 1 chaos orb to test it.
it gave me like 100 more lighting dmg but i use pure physical bow, with my almost pure physical bow build.

so irong grip will boost your elemental dmg if you use lighting arrow , or added fire gem. but its not rly worth it if you dont use a bow like

As two posts before point out, the wording of my explanation in the OP is far from good, and Iron Grip still sucks for this build. Agreed with both.

And I am indeed aware of how Iron Grip works; which is exactly why I haven't included it in these builds here!

Here's a dumb question:
Why do we need static shock?

according to the wiki, monsters get a shock duration when:

Shock: 276ms per 1% max life dealt as lightning

Because critical hits tend to do more damage than normal hits that can trigger a Status Ailment, the effects of a non-critical Status Ailment are often less severe. Such effects can still be quite powerful if the relevant damage type is very high

Just have high enuf lightning dmg?
with chain lmp and lighting arrow mobs should get hits 5 or more times when they are in a pack of 5,so its a nice dps increase if they get shocked

Without logging in to double check, I am pretty sure that my lightning arrow still averages around 450 lit damage/hit even with chain and LMP since I stack a lot of off weapon lit damage. I also use conductivity as a curse which is another +43% or something. Plus once the first shock stack goes off the next lit damage will be even higher etc etc. I know I definitely see a good number of dead bodies with the shock effect on them.

Long story short, I am not sure its 100% necessary for AoE simply because once you have enough damage stuff is probably dying before it can really have stacks built up (when solo at least). I can definitely notice it with EH when taking on a strong single target though.

Also, if we do end up getting full respecs for having any changed nodes, and since I might level up a 3rd time anyway since I can do it quick with hand-me-down equip and I want to get the 6% IAS from cruel bandits, I might turn one of the two I currently have leveled into a dual totem version for the hell of it, and if I do I'll be sure to let people know how that works lol. Can't really see gaining a whole lot form that, since my character would be more damaging than the second totem (and I have to give up personal damage), and since I am already ranged I don't think I will feel a whole lot safer with the proxy totem filling in for me, and I am not really crunched for slots to have a totem and non totem version of my attack, but it could be ammusing. I'd basically just take the LL/LoH out of LA (and might go IS instead) and EH for a totem support, and turn my current totem linkage into something like fire trapx2+Iron Will+Concentrated effect
I recently picked up some Windscream boots, and was wondering what your thoughts were on them for this build? Low movement speed, but has ele damage, resists , and additional curse. Been using ele weakness and projectile weakness curse with them.
Patch coming :p

Gonna draw up a new build once I can see the new duelist area and berserk location, then probably end up goofing around with a witch/shadow/templar to see the new fire spell lol

anyway, if I had a windscream I would use similar curses to what you are using, the only real things to keep in mind when picking curses

1) Pierce and chain don't play great together, so if you are using chain, PW might go down a notch on the priority list
2)depending on the break down on your arrows, Conductivity beat either EW or PW. In a lot of cases -res is better than "more" multiplier damage of PW (if a target has 50% res, -50% res is effectively x2 damage, where as 50% more is still just 1.5x), but there are situations where the reverse is true so that might cancel, but when you factor in the -res of Cond is bigger than PW multiplier (44 vs 32 at level 15), and the extra shock chance of conductivity, it can be better if a large % of your damage is lightning.
3)with double curse i would also keep a defensive curse (enfeeble or temp chains) handy as well.

Also keep in mind when you are using your curses. When I solo, I often don't curse trash mobs cause it doesnt really save any time on my DPS focused build, and vs bosses I might be more inclined to do an offensive curse + a defensive curse instead of double offense, but it would depend on the boss
Sheeeeesh, the new update to the passive tree means an update to the build. You can get so much stuff in Duelist tree now... Pure awesomeness.

I told you it was gonna be sweet, the duelist area was already very competitive, and they added 14% IAS to the parts we would go to, and the L&S in it is very easy to get.

Ignoring the fact that its a level 100 build (assuming +40 hp/+6% IAS/+SP from bandits), I think my DPS build might look something like this

Though I think this is probably more realistic...

Either way, deff gonna put some thought into it before I spec, want to go check out the new fire spell first lol

And before someone asks, those are both super preliminary builds, so poke holes in them to improve them, dont expect them to be perfect
