One for items and one for currencies will be a good start.
Sorry for the English mistakes if there any in my post, this is not my native language.

How long till most of us are fired? lol.

The no buyout system sounds smart, imagine bots buying out all the Alpha's Howls and managing the market. Some interaction should still be required, with manual approval from both ends.

Hopefully you can write detailed-enough descriptions, however. Or access a shop thread here on the forum by clicking on a button in-game (though all the info required should be in the game itself).
Couple of points here:

1. Hating the AH concept so much, that you purposely do everything you can to make trading a pain in the ass, is foolish. I don't care how much you tote trading is a skill or haggling is part of the "experience". This is not 1998. Spamming WTS/WTB in fucking trade channel is a joke. Waiting for someone to check their "public tab" to accept your "offer" is slightly better, but still a shameful method in today's gaming world. How GGG doesn't take poe.xyz as a personal shot is beyond me. Frankly I'd be embarrassed. Basically it says, "yea our trade sucks, go use a 3rd party site which does it much better"

2. Use what you already have in place. Why can't they just create vendor recipes, or update currency exchanges at the act3 vendor? This would tremendously help with economic inflation, and probably improve crafting. Why can't I get 1 chaos for 2 alch at the vendor? Why can't I get 1 divine with 10 chaos? Sure it might take some balancing, but its certainly better than watching alt scammers fuck over noobs all day long in trade chat.

3. Posts calling for others to "thank" a developer for posting in their own forums reeks of indoctrination. It's a slippery slope to then getting an "aren't you thankful" response. Chris can post when he wants, what he wants, and then we can discuss it. That is the point of a forum. Thanking someone for just showing up is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure he put on his pants one leg at a time this morning. But if you want to continue to grovel, I guess that's your issue.

Sorry for the offtopic but reading this made me realise that for at least 20 years of my life I've been putting pants on both legs at the same time, am I doing it wrong?
Be ready. You're not paranoid, you're PREPARED.

I quit this game every few months and so should you to continue playing it in the future.

It's a sad day when common courtesy is confused for groveling, dude. I was merely pointing out the lack of manners in asking the lead dev a question (and I'm sure you know how busy Chris is, right?), getting a decent response and then not even acknowledging it.

Correct me if my definition of 'rude' has somehow failed to keep up with the Internet's.

I'm fairly certain Chris was responding the the topic of the post, not the OP directly. I'm also fairly certain that the OP wasn't seriously expecting a response from the lead dev.

Spoiler
Also If you are expecting civility, manners, courtesy, and an all around rosy feeling you must be new to the internet and social media in general. That has nothing to do with PoE.

No but jumping for 20 years is hard on the knees in the long run.

I have an ability to sit down because I get up from a bed.

Most people walk to a dresser or closet to get their pants. If that exertion requires you to sit back down, perhaps there is a larger issue. Or perhaps your sweatpants are piled up at the end of you bed, if that is the case then don't worry about how they go on.

If the point of this thread were to actually interact with Chris, ibase would have said 'thank you' to Chris after he responded.

But no. Of course not. I bet some people even think Chris has a DUTY to respond to the players' demands and not receive a simple 'thanks' for his effort.

There are no 'excuses' made why Chris posts on reddit more than here. This thread is all the evidence you need. People actually respect him there, respect him enough to interact beyond a clearly troll-bait thread. Not sure when it happened, but at some point, this forum turned against GGG. Violently.

Agreed, from GGG's perspective this forum propably looks like this:

Spoiler

But this is not entirely the community's fault. There have been several statements in the last months which were rather odd. And just like with the big boys, they were followed by utter silence.

The same is true for many - if not all - big discussions that have been going on lately. Not one single word from GGG.

There seems to be no initiative at all on GGG's part to address whatever is up with the community. I am sure there is, it's just not visible.

I am absolutely sure, if GGG were more open about their design desicions and take part in discussions, the atmosphere here wouldn't be remotely as negative.
I am also sure, if some people from GGG devote 1 hour a day to taking part in what's going on in the forum it would help all involved. It would have a positive influence on the game, on the forum, and on GGG itself.
The price for that would be that making updates would take a few days more. I really don't think anyone would have any trouble with that.
