New Trading System IN MARCH 2014?!
Yeah having no trading system just makes all chat full of spams and overprices because nobody finds what they want, lot of people prefer vendoring (like me) because no spaces/impossible to sell in a low amount of time

" Hey Chris, so what happened to this? Can we get some feedback on if/when trading will be looked at? |

The trading system is fine as it is. It would make sense to integrate the existing third party tools into PoE, though.
It seems that many players asking for a "better" trading system simply do not understand that an easy and efficient trading system (AH) would make sure that they will not sell anything anymore. They will then turn around and complain that the economy is shit and that they do not find any upgrades in game. It happened before and it will happen again. It is economy 101 - supply and demand. The only thing keeping supply at a reasonable level at the moment is the inefficiency of the existing trading system. |

" exactly this. and they scrapped their first implementation of a trading system because it wouldn't have been good for the game (chris on trading https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmKcEkzSo0k forward to 23:20 min) age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" ^My main gripe with trading in PoE and the reason why i still manually maintain my shop. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" well said, well said. |

" " " For every item that doesn't sell, there is another item that did sell. It doesn't mean that less trade occurs, it means that the average quality of gear being traded is higher. The system would be different, but it wouldn't be worse. You might struggle to sell your lower tier stuff (or have to sell it for less), but equivalently you would be able to buy lower tier gear for less, ala permanent leagues. Online-only trading benefits a singular group of people - those who are most often online. For everyone else, the net change would be very close to neutral, with some flaring at each end of the bell curve. Oh, and a drastic reduction to the fucking annoyance factor. I wish we had a real trading system like Tera or Guild Wars 2 with buy orders and buyouts and auto trades. Have a few chaos posting fee to act as the chaos sink everyone wants and be done with it. Everyone would be happy.
Everyone except those who like the current "system" of Pocurement, POE.Trade, people using fake auto online tools, and then having to wait 20 minutes for someone to finish a map and find the item you want. |

I do hope this is still coming, I have 0 intention of using external programs and websites just to be able to TRADE in THIS fking game.

" Strict 'No!' to first sentence. I don't think it's fine that i basically have to hope that someone logs in to sell me an item. And if that guy is from asia or NA... well that's gonna be tricky. Or even not happening at all. I have people on my friendslist that i want to buy items from that i haven't seen for days. So there is also the "people on holiday/pause/whatever"-problem aggravating the "both people gotta be online"-problem. Totally agree on the second sentence though ;) |
