New Trading System IN MARCH 2014?!

Current trading system is good enough.

If they implemented something where it was easier to trade with people who are offline it would totally destroy the economy and they would have to redesign loot droprates across the board since the minimum quality of a "good" item would be raised to a much higher bar.

Basically, if you make trading easier then people have to lower their prices on lower end gear to compete and actually sell items due to raised composition. The result of this is that everyone would be running around 75 maps with great gear that they bought for 1c instead of 68 maps with acceptable gear that they bought for 1c.

It also makes people feel incredibly unsatisfied because with a higher bar for acceptable gear it starts to feel impossible to make currency. All your drops are more difficult to sell on the low end, so those 1-5c sales become very rare items. You can already see this effect when there's a new season. EX: that 60 all res, 70 life chest you found on day 1 was picked up quick for 5c, but now that we're a month in you have a hard time selling it for 3c

No, its really not. Soon though... -_-

E: To be clear I agree you shouldn't be able to buy ppl's items when they are offline. However, I hate having to alt tab out. WTB new trading system ASAP plz

It is, but it's not integrated into the core game.

I am assuming you mean the current trading system coupled with poe xyz/procurement and whatever other tools exist?

Because pressing "trade" on people in town is not showing much promise.

Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
I think something needs to be done to streamline it, at present i run 3 procurements (soon to add 4th) have to search for items every trade (alt tab), procurement is buggy so often item will list without a price and i have to restart it to change that. I also run poe whisper notifier (plus winfast just so i can run fast without dcing) it all feels pretty band-aided together at present.
We really should not have to use a third party external website to search for good/specific trade items.

Ask yourself this.

What do you think the intention was with both the current temp leagues, in how they were designed, if not to require a 3rd party site in order to fully experience?
Casually casual.

Now a days we use 2 screens or 3 even, alt tabbing is so 2010 and hey no need for a system that works fine

To answer your question - How this relates to the current leagues and their design?
I have no idea.

I don't trade because the only *efficient* way to find a deal (without say a guild membership for example) is to use 3rd party tools which really should be core to the game if GGG's repeated stance has been and continues to be that trading is integral to the game.

I don't disagree with the concept of or dislike trading, per se.
It is, as many before and better than me have stated, not well implemented.

Yup, I got 3 screens. I usually use them for other stuff while I game. Nowadays, in 2015, most games have an IN-GAME trading system. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
