Byrr's Eldritch Battery Ethreal Knife Shadow

ya reflect is a huge issue in this build, thats why byrr suggested in his updated build the need to stack massive amounts of armor (10k+) by endgame to avoid 1shotting yourself.

For resistance, I added to the Byrr build some node that I'll remove later (when i'll have the stuff).

So here my build, hummm, my Byrr Build :) (I'm just lvl 74)



I tested chain, and finally I dont really like it. I saw many people didn't even using Fork, so I tried several gem without Fork and here the result :

Full DPS
EK + Added Fire + Iron Will + Faster Projectile + Fast cast : Very very effective, I use this in area which are not really dangerous and where I dont need life leech.

Dps + life leech
1- EK + Added Fire + Life Leech + Faster Projectile + Fast cast : Effective and safe, but due to my "lack" of mana regen (fast casting), I prefer to use 2.
2- EK + Iron Will + Life Leech + Faster Projectile + Fast cast : Same here, less damage but I never ran OOM, so permanent life leech secure me. (Iron Will as 0 cost in mana compare to 130% of added fire).


My question is, How do you do when you don't use life leech ? I just have 1 node of % life per second, and when there is lot of output damage, I really appreciate life leech.

I tried the Curse who give Life and mana leech (warlord's mark) but it only leech on my physical damage (which is about half my damage because of hatred and so) and it's not that efficient.

Some idea ?

i don't think its a problem anymore with this build if you have life leech. we bumped into a double reflect (elemental and phys reflect together) mob pack in one of the higher maps i didn't oneshot myself just got under 50%.
3 of us including me left the map cause we ran out of flasks and didn't want to risk it cause they were necros and rhoas but still, noone died

so for a 65-70ish just starting maps do you think it would be beneficial to drop added fire (without a 5L) damage for life leech even with the loss of dps?

Str/dex EK shadow are way too strong. Iron Will is making your damage high as fuck.

thanks for all the help with the build everyone - was able to make lvl 72 after starting this toon last week in about 1.5 days played =) maps going well lets hope it stays that way =)

I'm level 74 and have 4k hp, 12k armor with determination ( 7k without )and 2.4k dmg. Never had trouble with reflects. I even don't use granite flask when I deal with reflects. This might change when my dps gets higher but we'll see.

Using EK+Iron Will+Life Leech+Faster Projectile. (+Faster Casting when I get a good 5L )

lv 62 with 2.7k life, 1.5k armor(23% dmg reduction), 3k Ek damage, maxed resists

running 5L armor with EK, Iron Will, Faster Projectiles, Faster Casting, Life Leech

using clarity, discipline, and hatred

will add determination and grace to my auras once i am lv 70+
