Has anyone compared this build to invalescos? If so which is coming out stronger?

Current Spec at lvl 89 (ladder 14th):



5.8k HP, 27.5k Armour, 6.6k DPS, 145.5 Mana/sec, EK cost: 91 mana
Running Grace/Determination/Clarity/Discipline/Hatred: remaining mana 162

Only thing I'm scared of is GMP Titshooters and Phys reflect map if I get Power charges cause I reach 15% crit chance and if I crit I drop real low.

Im using a pretty similar build at lvl 82 #140 on the ladder, though I opted to take some more cast speed nodes as I dont have a 6L yet. I see you went for an extra 60% mana regen, is that paying off for you? I'm guessing it is since you arent having to run mana leech and I still am, though your gear is far better than mine. What would be your optimal 5L setup if you dont mind me asking? I am still trying to decide if I want to run Ek>added fire>faster proj>mana leech>faster casting (or iron will). With iron will and a lvl 19 EK I am pushing about 5k EK's and my armor is much worse than yours. I am afraid that i may crit instagib myself at some point. Thoughts?

I'm lvl 82, like #170 ladder

I just changed my shield, I was using this :


So now I got less armor but a bit more damage.

My stats are :

4k1 HP
14k armor (20k with molten shell that I try to keep up)
EK about 5K
Bear trap 24k (need to obtain 3G to replace Iron will by Culling strike)

I run: Clarity, Discipline, Grace, Hatred and Determination. (I want to add purity, but I miss mana)

I have no mana regen problem, can spam all day, but I'm too afraid to remove Life Leech for more dps.

Reflect mobbs are dangerous, but I got enought armor to have time to react (even if it's alway impressive to drop so fast).


We should make a club, all EK shadow ! Doing map together :)

how fast do u do maps solo ? i stopped playing ek when i teamed up with friend who had lower level, worse gear LA ranger and still could clean maps way faster than me

Dont compare yourself to LA users, imo they have the fastest clears of any build atm (thats why you see 50% of maps players or so using LA builds). Ek does hold up and is very strong, but may not be as strong as LA, in my opinion, due to shock stacking. I believe LA will get some furthur adjustments in future patches so dont give up on your EK yet!

The fact is, when mapping :
- if I'm solo, I really do great, I don't seems to be slow.
- When I'm in group, I don't really care of who does the more damage, I just enjoy playing with friends !

You are probably true, but I'm not sure that LA clean maps way faster than us. They sure do faster, but not a big difference IMO.

Just compare how fast you clean and how Devmoon clean, and you'll see that, finally, there is always worse than you xD !!!! (ok ok he's melee etc etc, just joking)
