Maybe you should learn what an ARPG is?

Isn't that Action - A_C_T_I_O_N - Role Playing Game?

And speaking of craft - what part of mindless, boring, dull and desperate farm for RNG's sake would you consider as an action in path of Exile? Marveil runs maybe? Piety runs? Ledge? Docks?
Is it game at all?

Tell me kid, what did you do in D2? Or even D1? What about TL2? D3? Or any other ARPG for that matter? Oh wait, you did boss runs or farmed certain zones to get good items. What are you doing in PoE? Oh yes, farming bosses or end game maps for items. Where is the difference again? Oh wait, nope, that is just the fucking genre as a whole and PoE isn't doing anything worse than past games in the genre, in fact it only does better. And people whining about it should try something else.

Maybe you should learn what an ARPG is? By your other posts it seems an ARPG isn't for you, or at the very least not one that requires you to think. YOu could try D3 RoS, a game in which you gear up in a week and then quit, or you could go try a different type of game. because an ARPG is about gear, character progression and RNG.

Also, PoE's crafting system is good, far better than something like D3's where you just put in the required items and in return get a shitty item you will never use, and if they make them account bound but the best then the economy goes down the toilet and all you do is craft. PoE has the best crafting system in an ARPG, that is a simple fact.

ARPG - Action Role Playing Game. Nowhere does it state RNG in the terminology, There is no rule that there needs to be RNG, When people think of ARPG they think of an Hack and Slash with a bit of RPG elements. There are tons of games on the Market that calls itself Action RPG that is nothing like Diablo.

Where the hell does it state RNG is required?

And prevents many trades from even taking place. By this I mean;

Buyer : Hi, how much for "item"?
Seller: 5c
Buyer : Deal, while 10 fusings do?
Seller: No, only pure chaos and the current rate for fusings is 2.5:1
Buyer : Ok what about 15 fusings?
Seller: FFS I DON'T WANT FUSINGS!
Buyer : But I've got no chaos
Seller: Then go trade for some....

I mean, what sort of assbackwards sort of economy is this? It's like going to your local shop for a pint of milk, and when you go to pay the shopkeeper, he will not except your currency because he wants another sort of currency instead.

That is not system or even economy specific... that is a social issue specific to the parties. There are plenty of good and bad examples for both.

... But really GGG I would like a response how gold would be a bad thing for PoE.

They've explained this before: a stack of reasons from making it harder for botters/RMTs, in D2 SoJs/Runes basically became the currency instead of gold, orbs offer more diversity in game etc.

Well, I'm a Diablo fan, D1 being my favorite and I played D2 a lot but for very different reasons than everyone here.

I enjoyed exploring the map completely, in D3 and PoE it resets when you quit

I enjoyed making crazy builds, trying the game various ways, something I can do in PoE

I only played offline, alone

I played with mods and cheats, which is sacrilege for you guys

So I know what an arpg is, I just didn't play it the same way you did, a way that I can no longer do because of online only requirements and the games being designed around multiplayer.

and don't tell me I need to play a game that doesn't require me to think, you are underestimating and insulting me and that comes from a guy that has no self esteem, it's about no luck not no brains

That is a really cool story you have there, but this is a game made by hardcore D2 players who want to make an ARPG that is the big successor to D2, which they have accomplished. Therefore if you expect easy mode crafting and high drop rates that allow little kids to just faceroll through the game, you're not gonna get it.

The only difference is that in TL2 I do not have to deal with RNG since most stats were pretty much fixed, and the drops were very good. Even then, when it came to crafting, I just dupe gold, so I do not have worry about RNG sinking my gold to oblivion.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

You played RoS and leveld up in a week then fully geared a char with BiS rolls in a week ? cool bro pls post a youtube video of you showing us this amazing feat!

How do you even call a system relying on RNG a good crafting system are you out of your mind ?
In D3 you can craft accbound shoulders amus gloves bracers with higher statrolls then drops or uniques can be - you can ACTUALLY SELECT THE MAINSTAT you want the most on it then spam away and sooner or later you get it , wow who wouldve thought - its like someone sat down and listened to the complaints then changed the crafting and made it better!
But you obviously dont know that or you wouldnt talk nonsense about a game you DONT happen to play anymore / or never played for that matter for a long period of time.

"PoE has the best crafting system in an ARPG, that is a simple fact.
This is your opinion and you´re entitled completely to it im not taking it away but claiming its fact is like me claiming apples are tomatoes.

This random hating on d3RoS needs to stop , diablo players dont come here either to hate on your superior crafting but when you talk nonsense im going to point it out for what it is.
utter nonsense.

But how is that working out in terms of longevity? TL2 has 8 viewers on twitch right now. It's a game you play for a little while and get bored of. POE is a game you play for years.
