"Leaked" patch notes and concerns over changes

What bothers me is that GGG didn't.put up any videos themselves (or ones made by another alpha member) on their site.

Lol, that is bothering you and not that he is the ONLY streamer allowed to show anything from Alpha?!

No, what bothers me is that he is exempt from having to follow the rules like everyone else. He abused his power and leaked info, which as far as I knew was a terrible offense, but because he is popular and streams he gets a 'get out of jail free' card.

If I robbed a bank the cops wouldnt let me go just because i was popular. The rules should apply to everyone equally.

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, wouldn't it be a Merry Christmas?

Yeah, I remember watching Krip stream act3 and was like WHOAH! haha I didn't even believe the dev's from GGG were really in the stream with him, there wasn't really anything mentioned about this.

Lol.. Those patch notes were leaked long before Kripp said anything about them. It was the top post on PoE Reddit.

Blaming more shit on Krip I see...

I frequent both the reddit and kripps stream. Treddit thread and kripp streaming alpha both seemed to happen at roughly the same time. Still I wouldn't blame kripp for this nonsense anyway.

Kripp was given a list of rules for streaming alpha which he briefly went over on stream. None of the rules stated he couldnt stream the patch notes. It was just a simple oversight which Chris_GGG admitted himself in the original post.

Im simply going on what the original post of THIS thread says, i don't care about reddit.

Is there any possibility of nerfing totems, differently? Honestly, dual spork totem witch was the most fun I've ever had in the game. I usually get bored of all the other specs/classes quickly, but this kept me playing for HOURS.

Is it possible to re-add the ability to cast spells normally with dual totems, but instead just nerf your overall damage by 25-50% (including spells) if you take that talent or something? I just don't see the fun in laying 2 totems then running around in a circle. I'd like to contribute and DPS, especially since I'm a heavy solo player.
Meow.
awsome work chris ignore the flamers!!

Stick to you guns!

I have noticed several threads that contain a fair amount of anger about some of the changes in 0.10.0alpha12, the version of alpha that Kripparrian was given permission to stream.

I'm late to the party on this thread, but I'm sure that patch was alpha13 not 12 :P

Regarding diamond flasks, I see 2 problems with them.

1) They render crit chance passives insignificant
2) They make non crit DPS underwhelming

I think that both diamond flasks and granite flasks need to scale in some way that make them *compliment* builds rather than define them.

With the way they stand in closed beta, not using diamond flasks or granite flasks on any build is simply gimping yourself. 10000 armor is always good for anyone taking physical damage. 100% crit chance is always good for anyone that doesnt have resolute technique.

One way of allowing the flasks to compliment builds without being entirely overpowered would be to make granite flasks triple armor for a period of time, and having diamond flasks grant something like 60% additional crit chance for a few seconds. That way crit builds would actually benefit from diamond flasks instead of having most of their passives be redundant.
