One more question while we're at it. Mapping in the last few days I noticed most highest level cold spell casters don't use FP but rather Ice Spear. At maps above 68 the only other FP char I saw was some Templar guy with an actual resist shield in his off hand. Other cold users just seem to be all using spear almost exclusively. The way my Witch is built, I could just put IS into the FP slot... and use it instead. And I think that's true for any cold/crit out there (even more ones with power charges). An especially mean build has it with Cast on Crit, and just unleashes a wave of ice that wipes out half the map (and lags the team into dying while at it). What's your take on FP vs IS? Hey - really appreciate this guide and you are doing a really good job of maintaining it/answering people's questions its honestly great to see :).
I have made a few CI witches in beta - got two over the lvl 70 mark but always died lol - always to the big physical dmg hitters. I was running with chayulas and dream fragments but not rainbow strides - i had a pair of movespeed/mana/dual res boots with i think about 200ES. Would you recommend getting a pair of these over the rainbows? I think its going to be tough - I crafted them myself and feel like it was (as always) a bit of luck to get them early in the chaos'ing stage. Really I guess my question is - how do you go with getting max resist - I feel your dual res chest is quite expensive (correct me if im wrong?) - i have an ilvl78 vaal regalia 5L6S ready to be crafted but I'm a little broke at the moment ha so I'm going to do some farming on my 80 ranger (played a safer char this time but ci FP witch is definitely my ultimate char :D). TL;DR - how do you go with getting max res? Do you have plenty of room for res on just the chest, belt and helm (and offhand but my offhand has no res - but it does have 390 ES ;) ;) :D ) and I'm guessing you get a little res from your passives (sorry I have looked at your passives tree but I'm on a crappy comp at the moment and can't really load it right now :( ). Need to craft the chest more that's only 1 alch lol... dry on chaos' ha. the ring has 59% dual res in total so im thinking that for now - and after i acquire the other gear (maligaro's, rainbow strides, dream frag, chayulas a belt and helm) I'll look to getting your other ring. Any comments :D thought others would be interested in seeing some of this gear to just if you're like me looking at this thread :P IGN: uCry

" my chest isnt THAT expensive i got it for only 1 exalt at the beginning of the league, but goes now for like 3ex? maybe 2ex if lucky but getting one 5linked will just up the price to 4-5ex maybe not sure though when it comes to low es chest like mine since im eteranl exalting this chest atm now this is more of like 10 ex item because of int and high ES just bad its a shitty base though since there is no other better out there atm i got this one for like 1ex and 10chaos as for 5links i always 5link my gear myself since it cost less doing so then doing 1 exalt lottery i would recommend for saving up to 2-3 ex and buy a chest with double res decent one 30+ res though or close, and as for resist i get resist on my last ring but im using this should be enough for the resist imo, atleast for me since i get resist from the ES nodes anyways (8% for the big ES/EV/AR nodes) and you can always try to craft a good shield with resist + spell dmg with spell on crit but thats gonna be quite a feat though getting a shield with good ES, resist and damage this is my shield atm in the short run you just have to look for gear that has decent resist, you dont need to have the ultimate chest to make it work! " ice spear is mostley for gathering power charges sincce ice spear with quality gives you a chance to gain power charges and with the power charge on crit its an excellent combo to gain power charges before starting to freeze pulse everything but its a diffrent build and i would not recommend it since you will have to remove certain points here and there plus remove IR since the points wont be enough. this is where shavronnes wrapping the unique chest comes in to play mostley. signature? I decided to reroll witch for this build, I'll let ya know how I am progressing. Got the rainbowstrides, dream frag, and some decent wands, but I am unsure if I want to use the taming or not? How much do they usually go for on nemesis? There isn't any on the indexers. I also need a 5 link es if anyone has one for sale :P

IIRC earlier you said you wanted to get vaal pact for elemental reflect maps. Is this still the plan or how are you addressing elemental reflect? Sorry if I missed you answering this.

" i just pulse them from a distance since you do less damage the further away you are when freeze pulsing when in double reflect map, but if reflect pack i just pulse then with a bit care also in case of the dmg gets to high signature?

I like it but is Iron Reflexes really worth spending that many points to get there? You could get a lot of additional ES for what you spend to get down there.

" yes it is worth it since you are going to need to get VP later, which im gonna get to counter reflect and IR does help a lot when countering phys dmg. but IR is mostley a personal preference i like using it as a CI since it gives such a armor boost and makes you really tanky signature?
