Hi,

It's my first character to play and I have followed your build after the patch which allows me to reset my fireball witch when level 40. It is great and I could solo easily until now (71 level). It also reminds my lovel Diable 3 firebat witch as well.

My skill would be little bit different from you and currently I am using Fireball, Firetrap, dual curse (cri weakness, temp chain, flammability, enfeeble) and Decoy Totem due to my equip is not quite good enough. I have a feeling that the map would be harder after 66lv map so I would like to ask the sequence of my equip upgrade path. Currently I have 3631ES and 77 all resis, 4L Searing Touch and 4L Chest. I am going to find Doedre's Damning for tri-curse. After that, should I save the orb to buy Dream Fragments & Eye of Chayula? Or should I look for higher ES circlet and good running speed boots. Here is my equipment and please kindly advise. Many thanks.

Hey!

I would probably get Shavronnes boots first after doedres damning, then Dream Fragments and eye of chayula.

Then i would take a look at upgrading the head/belt, your chest is quite alright, though i would go for 5linking it when i had stacked some 150-200 fusing.

You can use this belt to get attributes until you later can get a really good one, the attributes will mean you can unlearn skill points and advance your build.

After that i would maybe looks for some gloves with more resistance and mana, then i would save up to upgrade weapons.

I think that would be a good path of upgrading your gear all around. I suggest always farming a bit more to get a quite decent piece of gear than buying a mediocre one for cheap. Just keep watching http://poe.xyz.is/ for good stuff.

Hope it helps :)

Why not take the Cast Speed in Cruel? And how u get 49% Cast Speed ( 39% ( Faster Casting )) and what?

Faster casting with quality gives additional 10% cast speed for a grand total of 49%

Hi Zerg!

Try to find a Doedre asap and change Crit Gem into Concetrated Effect that would boost you DPS and Survialbility. Maybe even try to 5 Link ur Searing Touch or look out for a decent 1h + shield combos. Your belt is pretty nice for HP but since u CI you losing a few ES on that.

Hi fLekkZ,

Many thanks your advise and I just bought the curse ring too. I tried to use concentrated effect but it costs me so much mana. Unfortunately my mana regeneration cannot afford to spam the fireball.

Currently my mana reg is 95.3 and mana pool is 284 after active 4 aura. Anyway thanks for your suggestion.

Hi Crackmonster,

First of all thanks for your article and it really gives me an idea about the fireball witch as there is so little document about this kind of play style for newbie without strong economic support. Secondary thanks for your detail suggestion and I will follow it. However I have a question that I would have a lesser elemental resis after replace the amulet and belt. Here is my calculation

After remove
"

And then replace it with mentioned belt, amulet,
"

I finally get the following elemental resis with purity before Level 78 with Nullification (+8% elem. resis.)
64% fire
50% cold
61% light

I would like to ask if the lower resis cause a problem in a higher level map especically by the boss or encoutner -elem. resis map. I think in short term I could resolve by using

. But I have a curious about that. Many thanks!

It may cause problems in higher maps or if you have some very dangerously rolled maps. Temple comes to mind, a lvl 71 map with lightning piety in it. There may also be single higher maps with dangerous elemental bosses.

However, unless you happen to have a giant load of high maps lying about, i don't think you will encounter issues. When i first started maps i had like 4.2k energy shield, maybe average 50 all resist, was also using searing touch, and that worked well so long as i was careful.

Then after farming many maps hopefully youll get something you can trade to some better gear and before you know it you are capped in resistances :D

But yea, the flask you mention could be a good idea, just for those few situations where it is risky, as a backup. I didn't need it, but mostly because i am too addicted to adrenaline quicksilvers so i couldnt let them go :D

The worst thing naturally is elemental reflect when your resistances are bad, but if you are using a ruby flask they should be capped anyway.

Completely following your Build, ES and HP is kinda low ( Lvl atm 50 ) thats the only issue i have atm, the damage is insane, never saw that damage before ( LA, Cleave, .. etc ). Good thing is im gonna take the ES Shields the next Levels in Templer and Witch Area and go straight to Shadow.

Please read my posts twice before you answer, you are probably not smart enough to get the meaning of it but hey its still free2play.

Good to hear it's causing some ruckus throughout Wraeclast. I was starting to think i was the only one who thought this build is just too insane damage ;D

Have a question for anyone that can answer it. (probably a noob question at that.)

Do granite flasks affect energy shield once you go CI? I always thought of it as granite flasks being 'linked' with the HP pool and never affect the energy shield. When you pop a granite with life, it always seems that you don't take as much damage obviously because it increases your armor.

I've been using granite's but I never really notice any difference in me taking less damage or at least it doesn't seem like I'm taking less damage.

Hey!

Yea Granite Flasks(armour) works just as well with CI as it does with life. It applies fully to both Life and ES.

Hey, can someone tell me if this build can be switched around to use 2 totems instead. For me in particular, 2 totems will cast much faster than me alone.
