Current Map drop is a Joke
I did not play for a long time and startet again a few weeks ago.
Because of this, i did not have a map-pool. But atm, i even can´t build up a lv66 map-pool. I have to farm for about 2 hours to find 1 lv66 map. Then, i play the map, find no map inside the map and have to farm for 2 hours again. That´s no fun. |

It honestly baffles me as to how long this problem has been around and how GGG refuses to address it. I removed 90% of my friends list today because nobody plays anymore. The game will keep hemorrhaging high level players if nothing is done about maps. I for one am done with this game till they do something. I started playing nemesis, but what's the fucking point? Just so I can get walled off again at level 84 because maps are entirely unsustainable? No thanks, I've grinded 68 maps enough to know that there is no light at the end of the GGG tunnel.

Today I ran 10x 73-75 maps with a buddy that were well chiseled and chaosed appropriately. Out of these maps, we received 1x 74 map and 1x 68 map, ONLY. That's it. During open beta, we would at least receive 1-2 maps per well rolled map. Now we don't even get shitty low level maps. The overall drop rate has noticeably decreased.

I can see both sides of this argument.. on the one hand, no one should be stuck running 66-68 maps on level 80+, my beta ranger was 78 and I never did a map over 70 ._. frustration is an understatement considering I'm not playing 24/7, it takes me weeks to get a character to 70+ cause I only have the time to play 2-3 hours every 1-2 days due to University and work.
therefore for me personally.. spending my bi-nightly 2 hours doing 10+ 66 maps at level 78 seems like a total waste of my time. On the other hand, I get that high level maps are supposed to be RARE. I mean if Exalts dropped every other area the game would collapse. So the higher the map level the more rare they are, it's a reward for the dedicated I guess. But something does need to be done for how maps are obtained.. I mean a character of level 80 shouldn't EVER get a 66 - 69 map drop, there level is really just too high for that to be anything other than junk. Also, solo players get shafted in the map drop department, a person who always runs maps in a 6 man group has 6x the map pool and 6x the currency to roll on them. Solo players do not have that luxury, I support a 'Solo' mod added to maps, where that map can only be done by a single player, and has some sort of significant reward for that. I AM ERROR

its funny how GGG even after almost 4 days refuses to take ANY responsiblity on this ussue. theres not even an statement or something. you really want it so GGG ?
made some 66-67 maps today with a lowerlevel friend you know what he got? NOTHING he ran out of maps and we could not continue! we did 11 maps and he got not a single map back. thats really too much guys really. " we dont talk about the highest level maps 77 and 78 we talk about the overall maps. ppl run out of maps because there are almost NO drops. rolling a 72 map to 80-100 IIQ + chisel it and get NO map back or just 66ers is just wrong nothing else. plus you compare apples with pears. while exalted orbs are a currency maps are NOT maps are for leveling purpose only. they symbolize the ONLY way for a highlevel character to level effectively. forcing them to level in 66er areas with lv 85+ will most likely make them quit. thats the only thing GGG will get with this map dropping policity. my friends treat lv 72 and 74 maps now as they are. as white ones lol because they dont waste any more currency on maps which dont give any payback when they are highrolled. it came that far. really GGG its time to act not only watch. level70+ maps need to drop more. Paying for 70+ maps is a pain and farming them is even more of a pain in the ass.

" It's not just high level maps that are rare, it's all maps. I've only been playing PoE for about a month. Before release, I was starting to build up my map pool, up to a couple 72s and a half a dozen 71s with half a stash page of lower maps. Since release I've gone through all my maps. Now I log in, farm for a couple hours to get one level 66 map which doesn't drop a map and log off. It could be bad luck. It could be this game is not designed for a solo player. Whatever it is, release happened and suddenly this game is no longer for me. |

push for visibility because this problem is STILL up to date and a really SERIOUS issue to highlevel players! ive got even more messages of friends who complain about that map drop. still no statement of GGG i cant tell how i think about this policy.
