Current Map drop is a Joke

Level 80 and sik of running 69 maps. there is no easy to see sustain maps as a solo player.

people say do not bother passes 80, uhm I want to play my char..

The whole map system is a giant cockblock taking away my fun.

The whole game is party party party and middle finger to solo end game

I've managed to accumulate 12x66 12x67 12x68 1x69 0x70 8x71 and 1x72 while progressing to lvl 81, without using alchs or chaos or chisels (well, I just ran my first 71 and used 4 chisels and an alch and got a 72 and a 68 out of it). I don't think the map drops are too bad since they've improved it. I suggest trying my system:

Run the lowest level maps you have until it stops giving you decent exp, then move up a map lvl, then run that lvl till it stops giving you decent exp and move up, ect.

If, for example, you run out of 69s and 68s arent giving you good exp, then run 70s. You will build back up some 69s while you do that.

Once you get 12x of one map lvl, use the vendor recipe to turn 3 into 1 of the next level, e.g. 3x66 -> 1x67. Before you do this turn all three 66s into magic maps. You will get an unid 67 map that gives bonus item quantity for being unidentified. Notice how I have 12 of 66, 67, and 68. Now if I get one 66 map I can move up the chain to get a 69.

I don't know when its best to chisel/alch/chaos maps, but I'm at least alching my 71s now. It helps to have a build that can solo almost any mods, saves you lots of chaos. If not grab some friends.

Oh btw, I've done >90% of my maps solo. I started doing 66s with a friend but he had to re-roll.

Yesterday did 3x76, 1x77, pack size, magic, some with +Q120, had to play even shitty TC for higher Q. Got 1 75 in return.

But it could be me wrong as well.

Never had any problem sustaining my map pool. My strategy is to run maps tiers in couple (eg: 70-71) until I have at least 15 maps of the next tier (72). Then I would run 71-72 maps, etc.

Doing it this way worked really well, and my map pool got quite big, too big actually. In fact I began to sell maps under <74 cos I had too many.

These streaks happen, a lot. But here and there there is one map that drops 5 lvl75+ maps to even it out.

I know, it's like that. I'm just pissed off of the luck based progression, that never improved.
