Noobish player here with some basic questions:
1. Is the reason why you keep a helm socketed with zombies + IIR + minion life + guardian in the budget build but not the expensive build that your zombies will probably need to be resummoned periodically in the budget build, but that once you get the uber zombie stuff in the pricey version they will be buff enough to not need resummoning often at all? 2. If you happen to have it, is it better to socket your zombies in the budget build with multistrike instead of added fire damage? IGNs

" I'm certainly not an expert in this spec (or the game), but my guess is that you wouldn't. In the budget build, you're basically only using max life items (and +2 for even more life). In the rich build, you have montregul's (double physical damage) and BoR (faster attacks and increased melee damage) which probably more than triples their physical damage. In this case multistrike would seem to add more of a boost, in addition to increasing their spread of blind. That's my guess, anyways. My question is how valuable it is to convert my budget build into a rich build. I got mega lucky and an aegis aurora dropped for me. I had probably 4ex in total wealth (almost none of it liquid) before, so this explodes my pool of resources once I sell it. I'll certainly be getting a divination, but I'm wondering whether investing in a bringer of rain and some good mf amulets/rings is worth the return. Alternatively I would use the exalts to turn one of my other characters map-viable (most likely my blender). Do you think it's worth dumping all this wealth right back into the summoner, knowing full well I may never get another big-ticket drop again? IGN:

" You have 2 different builds for the scion. One of them takes life regen, another takes resists instead. Which one is optimal. |

Sorry if this has been asked already, I didnt read all the 66 pages of replies but i was wondering: You use mines and traps in order to get more damage on your minions, prioritizing mines first, since they give the most (so Mines>Traps). Why wouldnt you add the minion damage support gem in the mix since it gives a higher bonus? (making the priority chain Min.Damage>Mines>Traps)
That would be too big and obvious of a mistake for such a pro and well calculated build, so i am pretty sure there is a reason for it. If so, you should explain it in the opening post IGN: Lucy_SkyDiamonds

" MORE Damage has a much bigger impact than INCREASED Damage. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/320366 Small explanation in that topic. We play at God with our necromancy, but forces far more potent sleep within these stones.

" Thats's just simply not true, especially for this build. For specters, the correct priority chain is indeed Minion Damage>Remote Mine>Trap>Increased Burning Damage (if we discount Minion Life and Conc. Effect, that have other effects for consideration) (and we discount CoD, which is a broken mechanic) Last edited by Zed_#4491 on Jan 15, 2014, 7:02:32 AM

" So you are saying, that one should use minion damage over remote mine with spectres? With sunbelt, I guess it would be more damage when using trap + remote mine? |
|
" ^^^ Yea I'm curious about this as well. I've seen many people say that Remote Mine and Trap are better damage boosts than Minion Damage, so what makes you say that Minion Damage is better for the BM spectres? Is it because their direct damage comes from their aura and not from their direct attacks? |
