I think now would be a good time to start running Discipline. :)

EDIT: Well, I tried running Discipline. Assuming no Haste, it takes my Mana from about 900 to about 650. So I lose 250 Mana, BUT, I get +120 Mana Regen, making it a good deal overall for most cases. I'd say 420 Mana/sec is enough, no? I suppose if I had more ES nodes, it'd be much better, but I'm leery on those, but maybe the Templar's Ar/ES nodes?

When not running Haste, it's a nice boost to survivability. Add Vitality for even more of that.
Personally, I find that managing Life is easier, with Leech and Potions, but Mana tends to drain FAST when you have MoM, AA and a high-cost spell, at least when taking hits.

So I've levelled up using this build and am now at lvl61. It was very easy to level, went for the mana regen nodes off the bat and even using hatred instead of clarity through to lvl~34 and EK was spammable. Started slowing down in terms of clear speed towards the end of act3 merciless but Piety and Dom were the only things I couldn't solo.

With a few cheap purchases (only been playing the game for about a week so don't have a lot of funds to throw around) and using some drops I've found my gear currently looks like this

This gives me;
71/75/75/-23 resists
2121 Health
1358 Mana
147.8 Mana regen (with clarity)
5260 Armour (with grace)
173 mana left after aura reservations.

And EK;
2560 DPS (with hatred)
78% Projectile speed.

I was running docks and have just now poked my head into catacombs. My survivability was fine but I did find in catacombs things were dying rather slowly, or maybe that's just a relative thing considering how quickly I flew through other areas.

That being said I'm wondering what my next move should be;
Gearwise, I'm leaning towards picking up a 5L lightning coil (only picked up the 2L because it was cheap) to allow a faster casting gem on top of the others already there.

I feel I could run Arctic Armour given my regen but haven't picked up the gem yet. Should I drop grace and run discipline instead? This may also in turn give me enough mana to run MoM as well? I'll be putting lvl5 enduring cry gem into the CoDT link as I was just testing out Molten Shell.

Passives; I'm feeling like I should be just throwing points into life nodes now as there a plenty within 1/2 nodes of where I am currently.

Very decent gear and progress for just 1 week.

IMO: Discipline (unless you take a lot of +ES nodes) just takes away too much, until VERY late-end-game. You lose quite a bit of mana to use it, and it just doesn't pay off until later.
Luckily for us, ANY ES build runs it :)
I doubt it'd let you use MoM, btw. At least, not if YOU run it, not now. It just costs too much.

Yes, Life for sure, more and more of it. Although personally I think I'll be going for the Block Nodes for the near future (It's good to have when you use a Rath. Globe).

Finally found myself an Alpha's Howl. Just kindly fell on the floor.



Until I get alternate Resist on my gear, I have to have Purity to use it, but it's really rather great. It gives me about 400 more spare mana with the same auras compared to my head, +2 level to 3 auras, the frozen/chill stuff, and a lot of Armor. IF you can afford one, and don't need IIR, it's SWEET.
