" Depends how much Life you have, and how safe you feel. Personally, I suggest getting a LOT of Life at this point, before you hit a brick wall. Or it hits you ;) If you want to go into the Templar Area, I'd get Life now and go there via Retraining as late as possible - all those INT nodes have a price, and unless you have MoM you LOSE a LOT of Effective Life if you do this. BTW, you didn't link your build, but if you have the Ranger AND Scion Aura Nodes, you should be able to at least add Hatred? Are you using a Reduced Mana Gem? Gratz on your 2nd char working out! " Doon Cuebiyari? It's usable, but it's just a 4L and a bit, at best. I'd prefer a real 5L or 6L. Also, your STR isn't really that high with this build - unless you really try to boost it, you're at 200 tops. It's just 25-28% Cast Speed + add STR to Damage, +70 STR, +10% Elemental Damage (that's like 5% Spell Damage for you), and +1% Damage per 8 STR. Let's assume 300 STR with the unique Gloves, you add 60% Spell Damage from Iron Will, 37.5 from the special property. In total, AT BEST, it's like a 4L with 28% Cast Speed, 102% Spell Damage (which isn't bad at ALL!), but it's just a 4L, even if it's VERY strong one. If you use a real 5L or 6L, it only adds the 15-18% Cast Speed, 10% Elem. Damage, and barely any Spell Damage from STR (so kinda useless). I'd need to try it to tell you if it's good in practice, but just like is only "ok" for end-game, I think that one is, too. What I think is doable is using that with Kaom's Heart if you have one, since as far as 4L go, this one is really strong. EK + Added Fire + Faster Projectiles, in that case, and just take a lot of Regen passives and run Vitality. For now, I have this skill tree, next 10 points will go there.
I'll get Lightning coil and run Hatred + Purity of lightning + tempest shield as "Aura", aiming at maxing all resistance and having a lot of different kind of mitigation (mana shield, artic armour, ton of eva converted in armour, block, nice life). After a bit of messing around, I've settled here and am enjoying it until I find something really worth upgrading (80%+ spell damage + cast speed + proj speed wand), shield with more life/crit, etc.
I've been trying to squeeze more rarity, probably going to try for a twostone cold/lightning with rarity/mana regen/lightning resist roll to replace the sapphire ASAP.

" Build looks OK, although I'd suggest dropping Fury Bolts and the nodes leading to it, saving you 3 points - spend those on other things. Personally, I don't feel the need for a TON of Armor with Lightning Coil, and my lowly 7000 is more than enough for 77 Maps (with Flasks for scary bosses), but it's certainly not wasted. Another thing to consider before using Tempest Shield and/or Purity of Lightning, is that Mana = Life if you have MoM, so either reserve almost all your mana and ditch it, or keep a good chunk free. MoM is USELESS without a good amount of spare mana. I feel that MoM (with good enough gear) is one of the best defences out there, but it's just my opinion. I'm assuming you'll run Hatred and Clarity, too? Thanks for the advice. I was leaning that way, but I haven't had to use a regret yet and I'm a hoarder :)
As for why I'm not running another aura, the only aura gems I have so far are Clarity, Grace and Purity of Elements. Also don't have a Reduced Mana gem yet. " About Fury Bolt : as Scion, my toon needs a lot of stats, and for now, I have to rely on Lioneye boots to get my strength, so this node is usefull for both projectile bonus and STR. I'm currently testing Tempest shield, and I don't know yet if I will use it in the end. I'm not using Clarity because I don't have the right nodes yet, but I used some mana potion from time to time, as I don't have enough +% mana regen on my stuff yet. I'm currently farming Docks but will do Piety run next level when I'll have the last HP node top of the tree. |

If you can make room for goldwyrms or at least 90% (with culling skill) rarity, piety can be quite beneficial. I've got 6 pure ex from piety runs on me right now and have made at least 10-12 exalt worth of stuff I've actually sold.

And you should use something like spending your nodes for this is just not worth it, since you don't really need a LOT of STR.
