Chris: ALT-F4 LEGIT STRAT
Alt+f4 is the lamest thing since Diablo 3.

Wow... 22 pages?
I've never had so many devs respond before! I didn't think people actually cared this much... This shouldnt be such a shock... It's a perfectly legitimate and accepted way of playing this game .. Always has been. Do you know how shitty it would be without allowing this? Any computer/internet malfunction would cause death. This game is pretty hard and shit will fuck you up at every turn. Exiting the game client is essential in a fast paced game like this where tons of shit can go down... I would be pissed without ESC+exit mechanic (ALT F4 is slow and noob lolol My entire style of playing the game would change. Do you know how frustrating it is to lose 15 lvl70+ maps worth of exp, not to mention an entire character? Fuck that. If you can't handle exiting the game client, then swallow your death like a man. It's not bannable or discouraged, so its your own fucking fault for not using whats legally available. It's like self founders and trading. Dont bitch about slow progression if you can't handle a trade. Esc+exit for life GGG rules The Russell Wilson Era

If they are actually designing anything with the assumption that people will use ALT-F4, theres a big problem with the way they design things.

" Pretty much this. I facepalmed for real when I read Chris' post. But it just backs up what I have said for a while, this is a pretend hardcore game (I'm talking game not mode here) it's meant to attract people who want to skip, rush, buy, get carried, to the feeling of awesome OP and then claim they are a hardcore gamer (game-play, not mode). Anything remotely difficult or testing has at least one designed way to get around it, trivialise it, negate it. Lol, the reason the Act 2 gate guard guy couldn't be made so he only spawned for you if you were on the quest and could then drop loot without being farmed; was because people who needed help with him would be fkd. As we were told just the other day. Even the 4 month achievements, Chris called extremely difficult. Name me one of them that was difficult even if not possible to be massively assisted. I dunno. *shakeshead* Casually casual.

If alt+f4 is intended by the dev's, then HC has no meaning whatsoever. I am really shocked by their response here, it means HC is a joke and the ladder means nothing.

" Might be a bit too dramatic here... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" Then you never played HC. You totally missed the point of HC. You're basically saying "hey we're going to design fights that totally fuck the player, and their only option is to ALT-F4" and then also "if you can find a better solution let me know" I can think of one - don't design fights that way. " Not sure how, the point of HC is that if you die, you die. It creates tension and a sense of drama for every fight. If the game is BALANCED such that a "strategy" is to close the game prior to death... that's just the stupidest thing I have ever heard. How about they just add a button that lets you become invincible for 10 seconds? is that a good idea? QQ is legendary here,
"Ultimately, I confess I still don't get the appeal of dungeon crawlers. Seems like I could recreate the essential experience by opening Microsoft Excel, scrolling down ten thousand pages with the down cursor key, and then typing "The Most Splendid Trousers of Them All!" -Yahtzee Last edited by EtherBunny66#3451 on Oct 10, 2013, 7:06:52 PM
