and how would you distinguish - from your side as party/guild leader - an Alt+F4 from a Client crash, for example?

i usually only play LAN with my 3 buddies... playing with random ppl pisses me off... in general, they seem so Fking stupid... ... just how it goes i guess lools

im just pissed... ive went from like ... 70percent to next level... all the way down to 0 percent, usually because i feel like im a badass, and i go throw my life away trying to protect my LAN buddies... ... i never alt+f4.. upon learning that its a "legit tactic" IM PISSED OFF!!!

Chris, there is only one solution - give everybody what they like:

Let's make that delay timer as one of the game rules (just like Turbo, Famine, etc). Now you are free to use it wherever and whenever you wish - either in some event games or 4 months leagues.

You cater to both groups - problem solved. :)

I would be delighted to play in such league in the future.

Oh, by the way, the PoE bosses aren't really that hard. I would say they fit more in easy - medium scale. A few fights might be hard at the beginning but once players learn how to tackle a boss it is not so much of a challenge anymore. Of course, there are some exceptions to that, like the new Weaver fight (especially Merciless) may be quite hard for some builds.

Did you ever play Hell Unleashed (D2 mod)? It had much harder, but still manageable, boss fights, although the fights were designed around party playing. That's my another hint for the future development - make a league where everything is be much harder so that the progress would be possible only when teaming up with other players.

I don't really see a problem with alt+f4 or save and exit. I used those often in D2 and I'm glad I was able to, especially on my 95+ chars while doing cows/baal runs! It saved me a lot of frustration.

several times while playing in a public party in Onslaught, a few guys clearly ALT+F4ed out of a stressful situation.
how do I know? one wrote "FK THIS I'M OUT" before leaving, and the other later found his way into my friends list, and admitted to when I asked him.
he's still on my friends list.

and the same thing happened in a maps party in Standard: two level 88+ guys just disappeared, and I found out later (from one of them) it was a panic logout.

I have no problem with panic-quitters - despite never panic-quitting myself - and it doesn't make them a bit bad in the game. on the contrary: some of them are so good at this game it's scary.
I do have a problem if GGG are sitting in a staff meeting, and saying "well people panic-logout anyway, so we might as well make this battle and that battle, cheesy one-shot gear-checks".

yeah... im just pissed at the whole thing so i wanna feel like im "fighting back" somehow hehehe :) :P

Or, you guys could improve your OWN GAME to allow us to tackle harder content rather than making us rely on alt + f4?
