Brilliant!
All the people item flipping in D3 had absolutely zero effect on the economy and I don't see why it would be any different here!!! Who cares if you've gotta scam some noobs to make a few exalts! It's tough love, right?!? And who cares if the inability to access good gear due to high prices and us item flippers drives away any potential new players?! They're just noobs anyway!!! lolamirite? I can't wait for the day when it's just us auction house tycoons playing the game! It'll be so fun to match my marketing genius against someone else instead of just playing the game!!! /snore Fuck this thread. And yes, before you ask: I am mad, bro. |

" Yes. That's the way I play, grinding for the lucky drops. While I have all the uniques for the challenge, I am far far less wealthy than the traders who can drop 50 exalts at a time like it's nothing. Anarchy/Onslaught T shirt

I have a declaration for you :
I am quite poor even with all this knowledge! Real players with huge level ( top 10 standard ) have or had 1500+/3000+ exalts. I know it for a fact because i talked with 2 guys from top 5. First time i told him : look at gomi thread with 3000ex+ i wanna quit :D He answered me that he probably had 3000+ but all the maps he rolled ( and exalted often ) eat a lot of ex. So yeah, trading is not everything. I asked the second guy how did he get 1500+, he answered with some informations that i will keep for myself for now ( at least for today/ the week ) because i already gave a lot on this thread. "Item flipping is buying items at a low price, then selling items at a high price. Item flippers are therefore counting on the ability to access items at low prices, and cannot function in an economy where such access is impossible. With the same amount of effort as a flipper, you could attain items for the same low prices, and then simply choose not to sell them (assuming the flipper is legit and doesn't scam). Diablo 3 essentially killed item flipping. With the non-RM auction house, the price for one was the price for all. There were essentially no ways to improve gear once you got your hands on it; the very few methods that existed were discovered within weeks and became common knowledge, killing its arbitrage efficacy. The only way to flip items was to refresh a list and pray that someone posted something far below market value; since the seller had easy access to the same price data, the chances of this were near zero. Yet despite evolving into a flipless economy, nearly all agree that D3's economy in the later stages was one of the least fun, most deterministic ever. Why? Precisely because the value of everything was established. Trading is fun when players don't all agree on item valuations, and farming is fun when you can't pin down exactly how much your new loot is worth. Therefore, the more flippable an in-game economy is, the better that economy is. The thing people fail to understand is, assuming a standardized valuation for all items, for every trade "profit," there is also a trade "loss." Trading might make certain traders very rich very fast; it also makes some traders poor. Trading differs from farming in that, while farming, you cannot lose value; with trading, it's a very real risk. Therefore, the ideal is to make item trading a lot like the stock market, and farming a lot like an interest-earning savings account. This means keeping risk as an important element of the trading economy. And this means: increasing build diversity and item diversity so that trade evaluations can vary wildly from one seasoned player to another. It's true i can relate, that risk is great in this game.
As an 8 star seeker, i must have a Shavronne's Wrappings. But i found once : a shav selling for 30 EX, and i knew people would pay 40 for mine. I took the risk of losing it and buying another.. all happened within a minute toi minimize riskz. I had 8EX profit. Another time was when i was beginning : i bought a 6L searing to sell it back.. I could have found a fake buyer i would have lost my wealth ( in that time ) I would have the WALL ( that i talk about in original post) I ended making 3ish ex profitt which is still huge imo. __ I am seeing right now a buying thread of a discharger full gear, i bet its a fake buying thread of someone who read my thread and who is selling with another account /friend his discharger full gear. ____________________ @Everyone : DOTMOE, is ready to listen to some suggestions if you ever have one. Another way some people use to scam noobs is the lottery.
1) Buy a Shav ( between 30 and 40 ex ) unlink. 2) Organize a lottery to 6L it, 10 exalt reward. 3) Link every fusing try to the noob ( doesnt work with stream, so the scammer will tell you that his bandwidth is not enough to streal) 4) when it's 6L, don't link the item to the fusing owner, eternal Shav before, and fuse again. 5) link Shav to the noob 6) announce later that you managed to link it yourself, so you dont paid the 10 ex ( or announce a fake winner ) 7) sell 6L Shav for 60 Ex , Profit : around 25 exalts 8) Restart from step 1 SO DONT PARTICIPATE TO ANY LOTTERY IF THERE IS NO STREAM. " This thread is not about scamming : it's about making wealth + scamming ( avoiding scammers) And yeah i saw you used this way to get your 6L shav. I was going to add it to the thread but since i don't like the concept i did not not. ( weither the winner wins the reward or not ) Are you sure of your calculations ? Let's say you bought your shav 40 ex You eternal it for 3-4-5 ex You sell for 60ex => 15 ex profit if scammer Give reward => 5 ex if trader no scammer. Anarchy/Onslaught T-Shirt Owner.

Yeah my math are a bit optimistic but it all depends on market conditions... You can find Shav for 35 ex , sometimes a bit less, sometimes a bit more... ( depends on league obv ).
In my case, I paid 35 ex for Shav unlink and gave 8 ex as reward. If I sell it now, I can sell between 55 or 60 ex, let's say 55 ex. That's already 12 ex gain doing pretty nothing... You just run a stream and do some fusing some time to time... In the meantime you can continue to farm Lunaris/Docks whatever.. It works with every unique where the price gap between no link and 6L is significant. Shav is best item imho for that atm. IGN TylordRampage Last edited by Malone#6946 on Sep 13, 2013, 5:11:30 AM
