Have a glimpse of the market and How to make wealth in PoE.
I could say, i am poor cuz never had shav`s kaom or soul taker drop. But i own some currency tho. Not a big trader, but trading is part of a game actually too. Still have been lucky on some drops that made me currency. And yet RNG is one big troll. If yiu get lucky u can be rich.
And now this thread takes me to the dark evil side. Thanks Inexium . CoCS Shadow - iSpinMyCritsRightRound

Congratulation Inexium, in one post you described exactly what I hate most in this game and what I don't want to take part in.
What saddens me most though is, that even if I choose to ignore this part of game, such activities will still spoil my gameplay, as Master Merchant will be afraid, that raising orbs drops to enable self-founders to craft would broke his precious "economy"... Anticipation slowly dissipates...

This is a pretty cool guide OP.
I don't see how any of this is scamming. And as someone pointed out buying gcps in anarchy right now is super risky as the standard economy is going to go nuts when they merge. - Scion Build Guides -

"This exactly. Trading has a good deal of Prisoner's Dilemma thrown in; offering fair prices might ensure the deal and thus not waste your time, but trying to extract as much value from the trade as possible might profit you the most. (It's not a binary choice as in a pure Prisoner's Dilemma, there are a whole continuum of options, but it's the same principle.) This means that, when trading, you need to be prepared for the times when you both choose the non-cooperative Prisoner's Dilemma choices and end up with some very PvP-style trading. And like with anything PvP, sometimes the other player doesn't put up much contest, and you end up with a rather lopsided victory. The result is what we call "getting ripped off." But there's nothing fraudulent, or even dishonorable, about it. There was a battle of wits with a clear loser and a clear winner. As simple as that. It's the traders who profit by lying and cheating who are dishonorable and worthy of scorn. Fraud is deserving of ridicule; arbitrage isn't. Very good comments.
What about buying a Soul Taker 17-20 ex on Ana and wait till you cann sell 25-30 on Standard, is there any risk ? As for scamming/ripping off : IRL don't we live the same stuff ? Some people write WTS IPHONE : XXX$, bought much much cheaper ( crafted with cheap whetstones ) using an army of underpaid workers. You can choose to be the CEO of APPLE or the buyer of IPHONES. Or.. maybe, is there a third solution ? Anarchy/Onslaught T-Shirt Owner.

" Traders will always be the rich ones, but in the absence of an auction house, where everyone has easy access to trade goods and better chances of checking the market prices, traders will have all the wealth while the people just playing the game will be dirt poor. A real shame imo. I don't mind traders being rich. They "play" for trading, which is fine by me. Just a shame that the actual arpg gamers who want to fight monsters have no other options than trading outside of the game if they want currency. "God I am sick of hearing this. In economics, they have a phrase: There is no such thing as a free lunch. What it means is that everything costs someone something (with the possible exception of oxygen). Even if that cost is nothing more than a couple minutes of effort, that's still a cost. It's essentially the economic equivalent of the laws of conservation of matter and energy in physics. Which means that Neuton's third law is in effect: for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. For every trader that is selling high, there is another trader buying high; and for every trader buying low, there is another trader selling low. Being a trader doesn't make you rich, and if you're unwise about it, it could very quickly make you poor indeed. It's the savvy traders who become rich, not traders in general. Makes me so happy to be a self founder & not have to deal with any of this bullshit.
Also, why do people farm Docks? Have they never heard of Solaris3 & the Ribbons? Protip: They are a better farm than Docks & a level higher. " QFT |

Nah not really, it's like Apple i guess ) - have an idea oh what's going on and WHY some players are so rich. Finnaly : - My noob revenge : I was a noob and i was dreaming about some not so expensive unique.. now i offer myself ( the old me ) this thread, let's hope it will be beneficial to ME ( old me ) and to all the others old me out there chancing gold rings to get an Andvarius ( Tips : chance occulst vestement or Siege axe instead haha ). Again, POE economy just mirrors the real world. The guy who physically assembles in item (equal to the guy that finds an item in POE) usually makes less than the guy who sells the item.
Trading is an art, and one I am particularly terrible at. What I did was take my good non-unique finds, and give them to a very good trader friend to sell. Then he would keep about 1/3rd of the total profit. To both of us, it felt like we were getting a great deal, because to him it was free money for a little time worth selling, and for me it was free money for an item I would never have spent the time to sell, because I have zero desire to do so. Obviously, you gotta have some real trust to do it like this, and I sold most Uniques on my own because they typically have an established market value. Anarchy/Onslaught T shirt
