I see, you have an issue with the drop rate/value. I guess what you or others don't like is the trading aspect of a game and want a league where the drop rate is substantially better and where there might not be a need for trading...

Meh, it's something, but rather uninteresting. Saving up and trading is a part of the game I enjoy. And finally finding that item that yields multiple exalts in trade is awesome also.

Finding that great drop for yourself once in a blue moon is cool also. To me that is ARPG.

You understand.
And I agree...sort of. Theoretically.
In practice, PoE is unrewarding compared to say...Titan Quest (IT)
Hours and hours and hours of vender trash badly itemized garbage and 0.000001% of the time you get something tradeable/useable isn't inherently what the genre is about.

What happened to farming certain types of mobs or a certain boss for a particular drop?
All you can do in PoE is wade through endless oceans of vender trash, save uyp the currency you get along the way, and BUY good gear, cuz it sure as shit never drops.

No, no, no. I used to think like you. It does drop. I got shav's one time, soul taker another. I work 8-4 and I don't play often. It mustn't drop often, the drop has to stay this way. The ARPG genre has to be this way and no other way.

Oh and this:

"What happened to farming certain types of mobs or a certain boss for a particular drop?"

This is MMO style. Nothing wrong with that, but that is another style in MMO. That's fine also.

I'm going to say this again, for the sake of people who want a good SF experience (I'm included in this).

I think you'll have a better chance of it if you can suggest a novel league to justify the existence and differentiating it from the main leagues.

Ermm... everything suggested so far is 10x more novel and interesting than simply having a league with added exiles... LOOOOL

Titan Quest was not MMO. Neither was D2.

There is absolutely nothing novel about increased drop rates and no trading (with the one part being entirely possible already). That is little more than a difficulty tweak to match your preference.

no offence here dude...but will it make you powerful? or shall i say invincible? guess not..i'm saying that you can still do 70+ maps easy with that weap being a 5l..am i right?

Learn to appreciate what you have..and not being greedy :)

Well, it will make me more powerful, around 1700 more DEEEPS. Plus knowing I'm more powerful it makes me feel better, I feel more content. It's a great feeling.

Yes there is and no it isn't.

When they use this term, they do not mean 'compete on the ladder', they mean they can't compete for the prices of the tradable items.

There is no way a solo-self-found can amass enough currency (a very lucky one-off RNG drop excluded) to buy the equipment necessary to progress at what any sane person would identify as an 'expected' pace.

I don't know what game you're playing but it's definitely not the game that I've been playing.

TQ much like Torchlight is an ok that can provide 20 or so hours of fun at most. That's precisely because the game is designed to bombard you with rewards and within about two playthroughs you've done everything there is to do in the game. Sure then you can move on to mods but if you notice, the most successful Torchlight mods are the ones that make it more difficult and less rewarding.

My wish is for them to eventually put out a stand alone game that doesn't even require that I be online. This is too good of a game to spoil with forced multiplayer.

You don't get it. This game wouldn't exist if there weren't "forced multiplayer". I'm sorry that you can't just have everything in life for free.

Please elaborate on the novelty and how it is more than a difficulty tweak.

If I play self-found now and I don't trade, that's my baseline.

Go ahead.

you do get the irony of what you are arguing right?

A bunch of people who play solo and don't interact with other players are asking for a league where they can play solo and not interact with other players.... you aren't "losing community" because people like me already don't interact with anyone else.

But we want to play with you! :) Interacting is what makes us human, a great quality we have.

I'd probably still play standard too seeing as I have a ton of items and characters there.... I just want a place to go where I can play with myself alone..... owait
