Self-Found (League) [Thread outdated!]

Irrelevant, but then again, quite relevant.

This part of trading (and it is a big part of trading) is something that you really don't like. You suggest we partake in trading but not in this part, be selective, use the options and the option to trade without scamming should be viable.

And it doesn't feel like aRPG!
It doesn't feel right at all for me.

I'd rather choose no trading at all, trading in an aRPG, to me, is as undesirable as scamming is to you. I've said it to people before and I'll repeat it to you, Scrotie; If you honestly don't realise how completely off putting 'non-self-found/crafted' aRPG progression is to me and to other people ITT, there is no possible way to explain, other than what you are trying to do and see no issue with, is telling someone who doesn't like Vegemite, that they will and they should.
Casually casual.

You're right we should go back to the old days where people would randomly jump into your online game and drop dupes of all of the best items in the game.

Or add mercs that are so strong that you can beat the game on the final difficulty without doing a single bit of damage yourself.

Well one of these made it into PoE, they're just called totems instead of mercs.

Anyway, why on earth is this thread still alive? It's stupid to argue that you should be compensated for a handicap that you put on yourself.

Yep, tis definitely stupid to ask for the playstyle you enjoy to be supported.

What a STUPID thing to do in a BETA of all places to.

/Cough. If you cant tell what I think of your post nothing can help you...

entirely different things.

PoE certainly has it's strong sides. otherwise I wouldn't be here.
it does what you wrote better than TL2 for instance, though truth be told I enjoyed that game more as a whole. best 20$ I ever spent on a game.

but the loot and crafting systems in PoE are downright terrible. so terrible, they are anti-ARPG.
and again - those are entirely different aspects of the same game.

P.S: jumping online and throwing duped items isn't the "old days". THIS is the old days :)

Actually, it's pretty simple to explain.

But how simple it is to explain or not is irrelevant. The issue at hand here is not "should people enjoy Vegemite or not," it is a lot closer to "should there be a No Vegemite Zone in airports to accommodate persons with a non-Vegemite lifestyle."

I actually totally understand my position. Yes, I do think the game should Sam-I-Am you a little bit into trying trading, but I don't think it should be an asshole and keep dogging you afterwards with over-the-top incentives — if you don't like it, you don't like it, and we should accept that. But that doesn't justify a separatist movement.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

I wonder what you would think if instead of using vegemite as an example we used smoking?

Should there be a no smoking zone in airports to accommodate people who do not smoke?

The answer to this is OBVIOUSLY yes, its a good idea.

Same for restaurants, and every other damn public place. ng

It degrades the game experience of some people in the vicinity, like smoking does for peoples health.

Its no more ridiculous than comparing it to vegemite, deal with it.

Considering that paid leagues have always been on the table I really see nothing wrong with people asking for this league. I have problems with a casual league but a self found league doesn't have to be easier, it can be just as difficult because of no trading.

SFL has been a popular topic and honestly this game needs all the help it can get in terms of popularity....
