Self-Found (League) [Thread outdated!]
" Why even participate in a thread you clearly know nothing about? As I see it, the essence in a SFL is drop rates. Self-found players feels that the drop rates of orbs (not items) are too low to be "successfull" in end game play. Without trading (selling items or buying currency) you are proper fucked (by zeh germans) when it comes to creating 5-6L stuff and other end game gear. I've lvled several toons past lvl 70, and a couple past 80. I have never seen an exalted drop, or a devine. And the ONLY way I've been able to 5L something, is by trading my lucky drops for fusings. So no, it can't "simply" be done by playing the current leagues. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" Well I dont understand why anyone would want a hardcore league since you could delete any character on death? People still want that league though. IGN

" +1 Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins.
Velocireptile - I LOL'ed. Which made me fart. I wish the office were empty right now :( Hardlicker - I had to push the dog out of the way so I could get to the sexy quilt. |

The problem is that the supporters of a Solo Player League think that they need to have access to the best-of-the-best that people are crafting with untold wealth obtained by trading. They see these items posted and say "I'll never be able to do that in my rule set".
The game is balanced with trading in mind, so the SPL people want to be separated and rebalanced accordingly. I'm fine with never seeing the drop rates changed, as many solo players are. They don't see the need to adjust the game to bring them on par with people trading. I don't see how it would hurt. You're not removing people from your trade pool if they leave. You're not "fragmenting the game" because these players don't interact at all with the other players. The only hurt I see is that GGG will be marked as a company who makes the game easier for some players than it does for others. It already does that, but it does it in a politically correct manner. |

" Not dying once should be an achievement. Not trading once should be a viable way to play the game. |

" +1 Why play an online game if you don't want to interact with other people? The game is designed with varying degrees of trading/partying in mind. Besides anyone can impose their own rules on their play but shouldn't expect it to be competitive. IGN: Arrows_and_Morality
