Our view on map drop rates
I cant imagine that people run out of maps?
How is this possibleß Even if you do blue ones you have a net plus I think. Oh, I know, maybe because people rather waste 600 Fusings for a utopical 6 link item, paying 1:1 for alchs, and then they complain that they have to run docks in order to get maps instead of alching all the maps! Just stupid. You just have to look at the economy and you see what is going wrong. I will buy ALL the Orbs of Alchemy, do you understand? I MEAN ALL :D (This orb is heavily undervalued in my opinion, it should be between 32 and 64 Alternations, but currently its 8, but this is because of the fusing madness) |

" They do still watch the statistics from information they collect and all of what Chris says in the beginning post is still valid, not much out of date information there even though it is a few months old. All maps do need to be treated exactly as he tells with the chisels and rolling harder mods. They have not nerfed map drop rates since they increased them after this post. “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”

" I don't want to be rude, but that's a joke, right? The implications are that GGG is so scared of inflation that lategame is a net loss every map for solo players. What you pull out of most ~68-70 maps is not even remotely worth the 4 chisels + alch + 2-3 chaos. |

" Nope. And? |

" I totally agree, you're better off just making new characters and hoarding all the currency until they release more content outside maps. |
|
" Oh, based on your premise that that little detail doesn't matter, can you elaborate how the endgame should unfold in your great vision? Or rather, why anyone should participate? Last edited by Khazrad#5396 on Mar 2, 2013, 1:14:13 PM

I personally have never done a map without getting at least one back as a drop.
I think that the map drop rate is very very very slim. Make sure you are running with at least 30% quantity on your drop rate imo and you will pretty much always get a map back. I don't know what the exact number would be, but I think 30% is a pretty solid safe number for a magic (transmuted) map. |

He says we don't run hard enough maps? Where does that leave solo players? I thought this game was solo friendly, but apparently I was wrong.
