Please show me your end game crafted gear then. I'm curious.

Yes, I am also interested in seeing the gear you're crafting, as well as the types of maps you run.
As a case in point, I am building this, still (some of you have seen it a few times, the linking process is taking forever x.x): Unavailable It needs a 5-link and an exalt before I'll consider it done. By the odds that's 60 more fusings and 15 more chaos (to buy the exalt). If I'm serious about crafting that piece I can hardly afford 1 trans and half an aug/half an alt per map I enter. Every single other resource is going towards that armour. I can't even begin to think about getting into a level 64 map to find more craftables until this one is finished. The transmutes I *am* spending cut into my supply of ID scrolls, which translates directly into a slower income of alterations. I might even be better off farming pyramid right now, but I'm still at a level where level 60 mobs give me xp. -- I don't have alpha access, that was a LONG time ago. Took me 3 weeks of not running maps, and spending everything I had accumulated to make these.
Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Anyone who has ever crafted knows how expensive, and rewarding, it is. Last edited by SL4Y3R#7487 on Oct 5, 2012, 11:54:17 AM

Okay, this is my first time posting on this forum, although I've been playing for several months. I love the map system and enjoyed it a lot initially. Now however, the maps have completely dried up. Since the last patch I have run approximately 15 maps and have received ONE level 60 map and ONE level 61 map. I am rolling them for increased area/pack size/rare monsters and probably average 25% increased quantity. I started with a dozen maps level 62-65 and now I'm down to 60's only. I feel that there is really something wrong with a system that won't allow you to progress unless you're very lucky. Is this really the direction you want to go? Because I'm done with this until it's fixed. I really dont't feel that I should have to trade my orbs for end-game maps; that content should be available for anyone who makes it this far. Also, I have noticed that there is no reward for running more difficult maps; when I alch a map to 60% I still get no maps back. There is no reward for doing a very difficult map. Just my two cents. When you fix it, I'll be back. You've made a great game and I know it's still a work in progress. I'll look forward to future improvements.

Me and my mate got 6 maps out of two yesterday. Very mediocre IIQ maps, not more than 25%. I'd say it's raining maps for me, sure, sometimes I get none, but then I get two in the next run.
Be ready. You're not paranoid, you're PREPARED.
I quit this game every few months and so should you to continue playing it in the future. The device is believed to have been dropped |

With the upcoming move to legace I think I'll stop playing maps for the time being.
Since the last update I was more or less breaking even on maps (slightly below the threshold), running magic ones with size/maze/more magic/more rare mods. I haven't seen more than two maps drop in any instance. I ran 13 L60 maps and got 12 new maps out of it, with two of those being L61 maps. If that's the baseline heading into the future, I'm fine with it. Far from raining maps, but more or less sustainable with the investment of transmutation/alteration orbs. I have not yet run any rare maps as the three I rolled had mods I can't run with my character, but if actually having more difficult rare maps means some added return in maps, above breaking even like with magic maps, then that's finally where I can see the system making sense. |

Speaking of endgame, surely once you have that much health pool the game is over? Is the game still fun once you know you can't die? I personally run glass cannon (you have more es on you helm than my whole gear set) and enjoy the thrill of living on the edge, 3 hits & I am a gonner but this keeps me on my toes & makes playing a lot more exciting. I think if I had as much es as you then I would be quite bored. |

Hey,
I have to comment on the status of maps now since the improvement of "increased higher level map drops." Things are a lot better. I complained about a week ago, before the patch, but now things are much smoother. Things started to pick up after getting a lvl65 map. From there I always chiseled my maps to the max then alched it and chaosed it if it didn't hit at least 80% quality. From the lvl 65 I was able to get at least another map of equal lvl or higher. Unfortunately, the migration is coming Tuesday, and I have lost the effort and motivation in advancing the end game. However, I was having a blast finding higher level maps, and hunting down chisels. Right now I'm sitting on 2 lvl 68 maps (cell). I suppose I might as well do them, and see how rare a 69 map is. I play hardcore btw. HC IGN: OrlandoFlorida / TheRoadBackToOriath

Considering my DPS is 8k, 24k if all 3 beams hit same target, I assure you it's quite fun
