Our view on map drop rates
I wonder.. May be it is because i don't run maps alone.. But usually, i have about this 1,5 map per map run. Dunno what you guys talking about.

played since last patch (like 1 week?)
1 pyramid run/day + 1 map lvl60-61/day (at least, some days double that) got 4 total maps for my troubles Pre patch I used to get a lot more, now I am running with 180% IIR on my witch and 230%IIR on my minionds and wondering, maybe the loot system prioritizes item rarity so I actually get less whites (and therefore less maps) from the same amount of drops. Dunno, it is extremely frustrating |

" No. The only effect IIR has on maps is that it potentially turns them from white to blue to yellow to (with Vaal maps) unique. Alteration Orb Union Local #7

perhaps i was misunderstood or i misunderstood your post.
let us assume 100% IIR and 50% IQ IQ does not apply on maps so lets omit it out of a 100 items that drop, 1 is unique, 10 are rare and 30 magical (arbitrary numbers). with 100% IIR the drops will be 2 unique, 20 rare and 60 magical.. So you get less whites per 100 items. What if maps do not gain IIR or these is an issue with the algorith? Edit: less white items->less maps I am lvl 70 and i have picked up 2 rare 60 maps total, never seen a blue map and collected about 10 white maps. @Tyregeis: I think if with 0% IIR you get 9 white maps and one blue map then with 100% you would get 8 white maps and two blue maps. You would get 10 maps in total in both cases, just their rarity would be different. I made those numbers up.

so IIQ and IR on minions has issues? Link plx! literally my IIQ/IR buffed minions drop 80% blue items and a fraction of whites. Myself, I am running about 60-80% based IQ thanks for the replies ps: wasnt IQ non functional for maps? |

" No white items would have to be the result of an overabundance of IIR without enough IIQ to actually make more items. Try running 250% IIR with no IIQ--you never need to "filter white items" because you never get any! " There is no "overabundance" of IIR, in fact it the normal IIR range that throws off the loot into blue mode... I ran with 24 IIQ/61 IIR (minions gems add like 33% and 58%) to make it about 60/130 IIQ/IIR. By no means "overabundance". Ran in groups with people that have 250 IIR and IIQ varies from below 100 to 150, and their kills produce same/greater amount of blues and yellows when compared to the minion kill, but also much more whites than blues and yellows combined. When minions kill, all the items fall out are blue and yellow, and THE WHITE ITEMS ARE MISSING. Literally. To double check this issue - compare witch/templar/dualist build with same IIQ/IIR versus a similar MF-geared summoner. Many times upon killing last map boss with minions, the standard loot is 9-12 blues, 2-4 yellows and 0-3 whites. |
