yeah, i think i was mislead by the youtube video which was posted cuz he did have a ton of armor and endurance charges while tanking hits from kole. I assumed that it would mitigate majority of the damage. Plus there was no blocking from the video.

Cycl3, explained it to you very well. Armor has a diminishing return, especially against big hitter like Kole.

I noticed you said you dont have enough life leech to tank him, maybe try to use warlord's mark curse(more life leech and mana leech) instead of temporal chain curse.


thanks for highlighting. I only have 4% life leech, 2%from blood drinker and 2% from wurms molt. Is it sufficient? I dont encounter problems fighting normal mobs or piety. Just tankier bosses like Kole or other map bosses. Perhaps once i activate blood rage it will be sufficient?


A little update regarding my previous encounters with Kole at Lunaris temple 3.

I have recently acquired the Bringer of Rain, and got some better phys weapons which greatly increased my damage. I can safely say, that Bringer of Rain is very important and makes it a core piece of equipment for this build. With blind on cleave, it makes bosses miss most of the time and enables the player to 'face-tank' any monster. I am thus able to kill Kole/Piety and various map bosses 66-70 without difficulty.

I have also opted to use Carnage Heart, together with Blood Rage and Purity.
I run 4 auras, mainly: Hatred/Grace/Determination/Purity
Haste is pretty useless once you have fast weapons and reach 0.12 atks/second. Frenzy from blood rage brings me to about 0.1 atks/second.
With carnage heart and blood rage, I have additional 10% life leech which solves most of my life recovery issues. The passive 'Blood Drinker' can thus be removed and re-allocated to other damage passives if needed.

CHaos resist is not a must have, but a word of advice is to make sure you have a instant healing flask and a flask which removes bleeding and frozen chilled. Flask priority as follows:
- evasion granite
- armor granite
- remove frozen chilled
- remove bleeding
^instant heal on either flask
last flask depends on user, if you are using soul taker you do not need a mana flask.

I can facetank Kole in Lunaris, he hit me one time no even taking 1/3 of my ~2500 life with 4 endu charges and 20k Granite of iron skin armor :) . My DPS jumped to around 13k and its great fun. Really great fun playing that build!

Some notes/questions:

After Purity/Hatred/Grace my "rest" mana is about 85 - too less for Determination :( and id like to keep ~30 Mana for my curse/enducry, no slots for bloodmagic them - i allready took both +30 Int nods (dont see any way to run purity or even lvl ~5-6 Vulnerability without them)and still have that mana flows noteable in duelist area - so 5 points just to support mana/int (2 for manaflows, 2 for 30int, 1 for additional +10 str nod to reach the second +30 int) -
Is it worth it to grab more "mana things" just to be able to run Determination?
I cant skip purity - my gear is too weak to max out res without it and i dont want to be at ~60 ligh/fire res if no charges are up.

Till now i didnt really use endu cry often - simply wasnt needed to survive. I hoped my BoR would bring the charges "the lazy way" - didnt work, it proccs for too less to keep charges. Im fine with 4 charges now but guess i should get used to use them all time.
Is it worth it to grab the extended duration nod after the one charge node? How about the life regen node?

Block chance. Right now im just got the one big node in duellist start area - most buid dont get the one down after beserserking (i play dual sword) - is block so weak or just not needed? Get no damage at all sounds great too me.

Chaos Res - mine sucks - is the gear of most people so damn good that the dont get that +8 chaos res node at ranger down?

For further adivse:
My current gear - i know my glooves kind of suck and maybe ill try to divine my offhand sword the %ed roll is low end? Any other cheap suggestions?
Total investment so far 6 exa (4 BoR, 1 each weapon)

I'd suggest putting Grace to hp, which free up pretty much mana for spamming whirling blades (or enough for Determination)

also 4l the boot and put whirling blades with faster attack, you'd love this

-put grace to hp (use reduce mana), cast determination
-remove faster cast from vulnerability to reduce mana cost on cast

vulnerabiltiy is an Int gem, and if you want to use it you have to invest in more gear with intelligence. Rings, amulet and probably hybrid gloves.

i use temp chains personally, first to improve survivability on maps and bosses, second it doesnt require as much int.

If any of you blender's need a 347 pdps sword to pair with your soul taker, all you need is an extra soul taker to trade me for it. PM if someone is actually interested. Prices on soul takers got ridiculously high lately I've noticed.

I'm planning on upgrading some of my gear, making an interesting change, but it would require my skill be used on mana not hp. I can't leech mana fast enough to sustain my skills even with a full mana bubble which would be silly anyways. but have some things I want to try out.
