Skill build looks good, but I have some suggestions:

1) Replace the 2x6% resist all nodes with 3x18% resist each in the Scion tree. Gain access to 15% phys damage.
2) Replace 3x3% ias nodes in the ranger tree with 2 dex nodes and gain access to 3x8% life.
This creates a deficit of 4 skill points, but there are numerous 10% phys damage nodes taken that can be dismissed. The trade-off:

-25% phys damage
-9% ias
+6% resist all
+24% max life
+20 dex

Since this is a low dex build, +20 dex helps meet dex requirements for high-dex gear.

Alternatively, 3 of the skill points away from Berserking, and the trade-offs become:

+5% phys dmg
-27% ias
+6% resist all
+24% max life
+20 dex

Since this build should already have at least 2-300% ias with multi strike, I think the extra ias is not worth it. thoughts?

imo putting skill points in dex and res is a waste cuz their cap can be achieved through items(u only need enough dex for gear and gems requirement), while life ias and physdmg should be stacked as much as possible (theres no such thing as too much dps or life;)

But what if you don't have enough dex to equip gear, or you don't have enough max resists and you have to swap out a +dps item or +life item for more resists? PLUS you get 24% more life, and as you said, you can never have too much life If you take the later trade-off, it seems worth losing 27% ias to gain 5% dmg, 6% resists, 24% life, and 20 dex.

so buy items with more dex/res that wont come on the expense of dps or life, if u cant afford it thats a different issue. Regarding ias vs physdmg i think physdmg is better till u get a soultaker.
If it's not worth spending an extra skill point to get 6% resist all, then why even get the 2x6% resist all nodes? Wouldn't it be ideal to not take these at all, if we value resists so little?

Basically, there are some inconsistencies in the build that I question. We've shown that it's worth spending a skill point for 6% resists, or 10% damage. But we can easily take the 3x18% resist nodes which is still an average of 6% and gain access to +15% damage. and 20 dex and 8% health seems far better than 9% ias.

I am also confused why the 120 skill point build has many terminal nodes in 10% dmg. You could have gotten the bandit quest reward of 18% instead. I'm also pretty sure +40 life from the bandit reward is better than 8% max life, but I'm not sure how to do the calculation to be positive. So shouldn't we really be optimizing for 117 or 118 skill points?

Let's assume 118 skill points, taking the +40 life and 18% dmg. Take 3 away from berserking and its prereqs, 2x6% resist nodes, and 1x10% dmg node. Use the spare 4 points to get 18% in each element + 15% dmg in the scion tree.

tl;dr

-21% ias
+23% dmg
+40 life
+6% resist all

I'm not sure if dps will go up or down (depends on total ias and +%dmg), but if it does go down, I would bet the benefit of +40 life and 6% resist all is better, no?

I agree with most of ur post except that i capped my res from gear, so i took those extra points and put them in the luxury 21%ias.
I could use a little advice please! I'm level 60 with 5 unused passive points and 13 respec points.

I think I need Resolute Technique and Unwavering Stance but I'm not sure which to get first. It might even be wise to respec some points so I can get both.

Some enemies are hard for me to hit now. And I seem to get stunned more often than I used to.
I think getting stunned is more dangerous than not being able to hit enemies, so Unwavering Stance seems more useful at the moment. My chance to hit is currently about 77%. My gear is not very good.

It's my first character and I don't have many currencies yet, so I probably can't get a Bringer of Rain or Soul Taker for awhile.

I guess I should get Unwavering Stance first and then head to Resolute Technique from there (probably south path). If so, should I respec the 8% life nodes from the top of the "life wheel" area?

Here is my current build:

I like this build but I'm not sure about the efficiency of it. I really dislike inefficiency! However I am very new to Path of Exile.

Regarding skill gems, I use two Dual Strikes. One is for swarms of mobs, and the other is for bosses (I know I may not have enough sockets for this in future).

(for mobs - AoE)
Dual Strike, Melee Physical Damage, Melee Splash, Life Gain on Hit

(for bosses - Single target)
Dual Strike, Melee Physical Damage, Weapon Elemental Damage, Life Leech

I only have 4L items at the moment. I don't have Multistrike yet, and I don't have any decent items with two green sockets for Dual Strike + Faster Attacks.

Oh, and is it possible to level multiple gems of the same skill at the same time? They are linked to different skills but I think only one of my Dual Strike gems and Melee Physical Damage gems are getting experience now.

DO NOT LEVEL UP CAST ON DAMAGE TAKEN! - Leveling the skill itself causes the amount of damage you must take before it casts to rise a lot, meaning less curses, less totems, less charges. You can however level the skills it supports.

I don't understand. If you don't level your CWDT but level suported gems, then those skills wont cast cause CWDT won't support them anymore.
As it says here in the description: http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Cast_when_Damage_Taken "This gem can only Support Skill Gems of level x or lower" whereby x is the level requirement of CWDT. So if CWDT is level 1, it will only support skill gems with level req 31 or lower, which means you cant level your supported gems.

EDIT: to clarify, here is my CWDT
. The description of the gem clearly states that it wont trigger my linked totem and molten shell skills, because they're too high of a level.

is it still valid? cause its not working for me at all
Here's my equipment. I'm having mana problems. 4% leech but half the time I run out of mana against high-armor or single-target mobs. Should I try to accrue more mana leech, or just swap out fire gem for blood magic? my DPS drops from 14k to 12k when I do that, but it's better than switching to default attack half the time.

Thank you for advice

The way Cast on Damage Taken works changed a few patches ago. You cannot level the gems it supports while leaving CODT at level 1 like you used to be able to do. The level requirement of gems augmented by Cast on Damage Taken may not exceed the level requirement of the Cast on Damage Taken gem. The level requirement for CODT is 31, so the gems it supports cannot be leveled past a level 31 requirement. If you were to use CODT the way it's written in the guide, you would level as follows:

CODT - Level 1
Enduring Cry - Level 5
Decoy Totem - Level 7
Enfeeble - Level 5

Have you ever thought about using Blood Rage? I have been using it on my duelist and my DPS increases from to 12k to 13k easily. The effect isn't as large as I would have hoped for because I already have so much IAS from skill points, multistrike, and faster attacks, but it's still an 8% buff. The life leech is also nice too.
