I noticed the graphics card the game uses is something like "hal 3-d"?
any way to make it use my ati radeon HD 5670, 512 mb? cause im getting like 30-45 fps, but when there is one elite or a big group of a mob it drops to like 5 fps for around 10 seconds, which i usually die from lol. Also in a party with even 1 extra person or any more, it drops to 2-5 fps constantly, so i cant party ever. i think if i can use my graphics card it would be alot better, is it possible, if so how please? also i am aware ggg is going to fix some lag issues soon hopefully, but in the meantime maybe i can swap which graphics card to use. thanks. |

Tried 3.7 today. Will look into 4.0 soon.
3.7 worked pretty well in windowed mode. I adjusted the resolution and disabled fullscreen to fix mouse offsetting. Running it on a Retina Macbook Pro 10.8.2 Logitech Mouse 512mb nvidia card Mouse works fine, just framerate spikes every few seconds. Last edited by Theline#3450 on Feb 6, 2013, 4:41:05 PM

" You are using your graphic card, but the wine does not know it's name, so its displaying D3D HAL (or whatever). As it was mentioned countless times in this thread, the FPS spikes and lags are game fault. A lot of windows user are suffering from it as well. We need to wait for developers to fix it. (this is present since openbeta, when I was playing closed beta, there was no spikes at all). |

Hello,
Just wanted to say that I'm running 4.0.1 and it's FANTASTIC. Crashes about once every 4 hours when there are massive mobs but otherwise it's flawless. Thanks so much and keep up the good work! |

" Thank you, but I don't like crashes, Please send me the logs right after you encounter crash next time. (at least, I will be able to tell if it is wine fault or game fault). Last edited by julus#1066 on Feb 6, 2013, 5:06:25 PM

Thank you for the great wrapper! It is, by far, the best way I've found to run PoE on a mac!
I'm on an rMBP and getting great performance with all the versions of the wrapper I've tried, but PoE is freezing every 30-60 minutes for me, and I need to quit it and restart to get it to respond. Is there any sort of debug output I can get that would be useful to you to hunt this down? |

" In the 1st post, there is guide how to get logs, please post me the logs, and I can take look on it. |

Hello Julus, and thanks very much for all your effort on the wrapper.
I've been playing with v3.6 on my Mac Pro running 10.8.2 without any major issues. Today I downloaded 4.0.1 and copied over the game contents from my 3.6 wrapper. 4.0.1 launches, patches itself, and then just hangs - it never opens the main game window. I restarted but to no effect. I just relaunched 3.6 and it's working fine, so I'll stick with that one for now. My logs from 4.0.1:
