[OSX] Unofficial Path of Exile port - 30/12/2018 status update

i got the message "shaders/render/skinning.ffx unexpected end of file reading fragment block." after i launched the game. After the appearance of this message box, another one popped out and message is like: "Runtime error! Program: C:... This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusal way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.(Box Title: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library)"

are there any solutions?

ignore vsync, it does not work anyway. Anyway thank you for report. (also, there should be performance boost when running "fullscreen" mode (not windowed fullscreen))

Quite possibly corrupted content.ggpk file. Easiest way is to reinstall.

This also affects windows users a lot, so GGG to blame ;)
Thanks for the port. Unfortunatelly it doesn't work that smooth with my machine and I'm not quite sure what the reason is.
Granted, it's not the newest one, but still it meets the requirements as far as I can see:

2,4ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 1067 MHz Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, 256MB
OS: 10.6.8
MacBookPro 5.1
version used: 3.6
downloading 4.01 atm, will check with that, but don't expect it to get better

current problem: 3-5 fps xD

Here a screenshot:

Any ideas why it's lagging around?

That's a unibody MBP right, would it support more RAM than 4GB? Have you opted for an SSD?

If you use 4.0.1, change to fullscreen (in production_Config.ini, see FAQ) and turn graphical settings to minimum. You can keep resolution at native. You could also restart your Mac.

How's your connection? That ping looks awfully high...

That ping was most likely caused by low FPS. Also, the mac sometimes lock the game so it will run 3-6 fps, restart is currently known solution.

I'm so used to not having to restart a Mac that I don't always even think about it :)

Mine runs sometimes up to two months without rebooting. Just put to sleep when not used or if I go away for 4 or more days then shut down.

I know, but hey. You are running windows games, and that comes with price - suffering from reboots :)
