Prediction/Revelation on new unique items on Next patchs

My guess for a new unique:

Kaom's second heart

+1000hp, no sockets.

Because one wasn't enough
The only downside about this weapon is that it isn't end-game viable due to its low damage. So after you're done leveling up your melee fire build you have to switch to something else (sceptre/staff/facebreakers with Infernal Blow most likely), which requires a different weapon specialization and a different main skill. Using Infernal Blow with a weapon that already converts 100% of your damage into fire is redundant, so you have to level it separately in preparation for the end-game, while using a high damage skill like Heavy Strike in the meanwhile.

This wouldn't be an issue, but the weapon also enables using different supports. For example, an Infernal Blow build wouldn't use Elemental Proliferation or Increased Burning Damage gems since the burn without 100% faster burning is more of a supplement than the main part of your damage. On the other hand, a build with this weapon wouldn't use melee splash since it can get more than enough splash with Elemental Proliferation.

Edit: This will all change when the 3rd sword is released of course.

Hey Charan, please add:

Take No Burning Damage
You Are Always On Fire

That's sword 3.

Spoiler
Half. There will be conditional self-immolation with The Goddess Unleashed. For sure.

Fire is catching. And if we burn, you burn with us.

So the only way to get this sword is a vendor recipe to upgrade from the first one? And then a second upgrade from it to the third one in the series? Very interesting idea. So you'd be able to basically use the same weapon all the way from the a1 normal to endgame?

...So that's why Lunaris is so much bigger on the inside!

"If you die, instead of the usual xp penalty, you instead regenerate into a random character class with passive points randomly assigned. This is item can not be found in hardcore leagues."

Also, can someone make a "Donna, Noble Axe" ? Among the other stats, it should have a huge penalty to light radius and flavor text "Hey, who turned out the lights?"

Weapon specialisation and the recent changes to the IPD nodes are a big part of why I latched onto the faux AoF mod. No IPD nodes are wasted when you equip this sword, so I don't see why you'd have to build specifically for it.

That's because fire builds normally don't use swords because of the low crit and exceptionally high attack speeds (you want attack speed for burn, but if you rely on it too much your potential burn damage is less than it could be).

Also, I assumed everyone would be Cleaving with it. This IB talk is fascinating.

It's just an easy mistake to make for those unfamiliar with conversion mechanics. For the layman it seems like "fire sword! let's use a fire skill with it!". Another good reason why this sword is gotten from recipe only.

The faster burning is a direct assault on would-be EleProlif users, as I've said elsewhere.

How so? It seems like faster burning is fantastic with elemental prolif if your ignite chance is high enough.
For those thinking this sword won't do much or even be considered end-game viable...think again.

Aside from the attack gem + Fire Penetration + Chance to Ignite + Increased Burning Damage combo mentioned earlier, you have fire damage and burning damage nodes on the passive tree. Combine all of that into a dual curse build with Flammability and Vulnerability, and you're going to see monster packs fall rather quickly to burn. Probably more quickly than Discharge burning if specced properly

With the skill gem combination, if you don't want the leech gems, you can always add Increased Critical Strikes + Damage and make a critical variant to make those burning numbers skyrocket even higher.

Please run the math first (I would but I shouldn't even be posting right now if you catch my drift).
wouldnt compare to a discharge build tht builds built so smartly around end charges as a defense and offense(boring tho seeing it...the other version of the build looks funner)....if u use tht sword late game ur gonna have to invest alot of skill points in dps in burning and fire related nodes becuase the damage on it is so low and it takes up ur off hand so no shield....and no 6l if u use a kaoms ud probly build it around ci....

And you're precisely the sort of person who is going to make me VERY thankful you can never, ever find this weapon. :)

Thank you!

Well you did a good job then I guess, working out some kind of mechanics that keeps people who dislike random trash uniques to accidently obtain this one. Thanks for that :)
