hi i have a question about chaos inoculation, since your life becomes 1 can you use skill such as pain attunement - 30% more spell dmg when on low life ?

" With 2x Void Batteries and a good 6l ES Chest, you easily need to spend 30+ ex. Yes, it is expensive but worth it, this build is centered around crit/power charges and Void Batteries are simply the best weapon for that :P But don't worry, you can effectively run this build with spending less, but mandatory are: Rainbowstrides (2ex), Dream Fragments (2ex), 500+ 5l ES Chest (2ex+), Maligaros Virtuosity (1ex), Eye of Chayula* (no clue, i'm playing Anarchy). Divinarius, either two of them or combined with a spell crit shield, are a good choice while saving up for Void Batteries, and only cost 1ex. As for the other gear, just get whats in your budget, good ES helmets (200+ ES) start around 1ex. The total value of my sorc's equipment is approx 55-60 exalts. You can probably pull off a poor man's version of it with less than 10 exalts, though. A few people posting here have made due with less, so you should ask them for advice on that.

I think 10 ex is a good starting point for the build, and i would probably get these items:
eye of chay ~6-8 gcp dream frag 3ex perandus signet 1ex 600-700 es 5-link chest 3ex 2 decent crit/spell damage wands 1 ex each After that i'd save for void batteries. |

After trying around a bit, i've finally found a solo map-viable solution to bring some MF into this build. All you need are two 4L (RRBB and RRBG) and some MF jewelry, which you'll keep in your bag.
Item Rarity and Item Quantity gems are mandatory, and of course we will use them. But instead of messing with your FB, we will assign Firestorm completely for MF. Put Firestorm - Life Leech - Item Rarity - Item Quantity into your RRBB, and into the RRBG you'll put Blood Rage - Faster Casting - Increased Duration - Decoy Totem. Now how to play this: It's really simple, just bring rares down to low HP and finish them off with Firestorm. Against uniques we will go for something a bit more complex, making use of the MF jewelry in your bag. First off, bring the unique down to low HP. Now cast a Decoy Totem near the unique and gain distance, preferably hide behind a wall or something and equip your MF rings. If you can switch your amulet too while still meeting Gem Requirements, you should do it aswell - i can't, but make up for it with having IIR on my main helmet. Now go back to the unique, cast another totem, curse with Flammability and kill it with Firestorm. Simple but effective. Pros of this method are, you will still meet all gem requirements and don't lose any important effects like "Can't be frozen" from Dream Frags. The MF jewelry doesn't have to be perfect either (can even use self-crafted magic stuff), all that's important is high IIR and IIQ. Cons are that you won't have full MF effect for every kill, and that you won't ever reach IIR/IIQ values like dedicated MF builds. I won't count the lost 3x1 squares from carrying your MF jewelry as a real con now. twitch.tv/enkivt

I've spent time a lot of time upgrading my gear and playing around with this spec, and found a pretty awesome variation which i will call Facemelt.
Basically I slightly modify the tree to include the 2 main aoe damage/size modifiers (blast radius/Amplify) like so: And use the following gems: FB->LMP->Life Leech->Elemental Proliferation->Power charge on Critical->Increased critical damage I use flammability as my curse. The downside is that you have to forsake infinite mana/chaingunning fireballs, for a bigger impact/super burn fireballs. This way, you can blow up an entire room/group of mobs with one or two fireballs and watch them burn! Mana still isn't really an issue though, every once in a while i just pop my mana flask to bring it back up. Cool variation. If I were you, I'd drop LMP if you want to focus on ele. prolif. burning though.

Yeah def a lot more burning damage with no lmp, i tried it, but i found that you really have to be more accurate with just a single fireball, and you need to cast more of them unless they are really clumped up good. With LMP you can be a lot messier and there are just a lot more of those aoe puddles, granted for less damage. Plus you get better health regen.
